7 actresses who are first-time moms!

Through the years that they have been in the local entertainment scene, we have already seen these female celebrities take on various roles – may it be as an actress, a host, and/or a performer. And now, they’re playing the most important roles they would ever be bestowed with – as doting and hands-on mothers to their respective kids.

This noble responsibility may be new to them, but these actresses surely nailed it so well – just like how they did it on-screen. Meet the seven actresses who are indeed doing a great job on being first-time moms in this episode of Kapamilya Snaps!

Anne Curtis

Just before the COVID-19 virus was officially declared as a pandemic, Anne Curtis and her husband Erwan Heusaff welcomed the biggest blessing that has ever come into their lives – their first baby Dahlia Amelie. She was born on March 2, 2020, around two years after their rustic outdoor wedding held in New Zealand.

In an online interview last year, the It’s Showtime host revealed that there were actually two reasons why they decided to deliver their baby in Melbourne, Australia at the last minute. First was they could not really make her stop from working while she’s here, and the second was she wanted to be with her Mama Carmen by the time she gives birth. Their stay there only got extended because of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

Sofia Andres

The Father’s Day celebration last year was indeed more meaningful for Sofia Andres as she didn’t only have her father to pay tribute to, but her boyfriend Daniel Miranda as well, to whom she shares the adorable bundle of joy Zoe Natalia.

Just like Anne, the La Vida Lena actress also gave birth to their daughter in Australia, where the young racecar driver is studying. They’ve been already together for four years when Baby Zoe came into their lives on November 24, 2020. In their first-ever Magandang Buhay interview together recently, the couple revealed that being parents have made them more mature and learn more about in life.

Janella Salvador

Her relationship with her Mommy Jenine Desiderio may not have been consistently tight and peaceful in the recent years, but the Click, Like Share actress revealed in her Magandang Buhay guesting that the arrival of Baby Jude Trevor has made them closer as she’s among the people who guided and accompanied her and boyfriend Markus Paterson in this journey.

As she kept her whole pregnancy a secret, the couple proudly shared their son – who was born on October 20, 2020 in Bath, Somerset, England – to the world eventually, beginning with a vlog they uploaded on their YouTube channel last January.

Ryza Cenon

The The General’s Daughter actress has indeed surprised us last year not only for sporting a pixie cut, but for flexing her baby bump, too! In a virtual interview with StarStudio.ph two months after her grand reveal, she enthusiastically opened up about her experiences as a mom-to-be, as well as her non-showbiz partner Miguel Antonio Cruz, a cinematographer.

She gave birth to a bouncing baby boy they named “Night” on October 31, 2020. Being a first-time mom, Ryza’s absolutely in love with her son, as seen on her posts on Instagram. In one of her posts, she thanked him for all the experiences they’ve shared together and promised to be always there for him no matter what. As she told him how much he and his dad love him, she also vowed to raise him in a gadget-free environment.

Coleen Garcia

A few days before her birthday last year, Coleen received the greatest gift she’s ever had when she gave birth to Baby Amari Jayden, her firstborn with husband Billy Crawford. She was born on September 2020, over two years since their grand wedding in Balesin in 2018. Since it was still in the midst of the pandemic, they opted to deliver their son via waterbirth at home.

In her appearance in the online talk show I Feel U two months after giving birth, the former It’s Showtime mainstay told host Toni Gonzaga how happy they have been upon the arrival of Baby Amari and imparted her experiences as a first-time and full-time mom.

Assunta de Rossi

From being one of the brightest sexy actresses of her generation, Assunta chose to live a peaceful life when she tied the knot with her businessman-politician husband Jules Ledesma. And after 18 years of waiting, they are finally blessed with a beautiful baby girl named Giulia Florentina Alessandra, or simply Baby Fiore.

In her exclusive interview with I Feel U last February, she revealed that they, too, were surprised of this blessing since they had been trying to conceive for the past years. With everything that they went through in the past years that made them almost give up, they consider their daughter a “miracle baby”, who was born on October 23, 2020.

Toni Gonzaga

Being able to juggle being an actress, host, and a performer, there’s no doubt that Toni indeed deserves the “Multimedia Superstar” title. While we’re already amazed with her versatility as an artist, what further impressed us more is with how she has managed to become a hands-on mom to her four-year-old son Severiano Elliot, or simply Seve.

She and filmmaker husband Paul Soriano had him on September 30, 2016, over a year after tying the knot on June 12, 2015. As both of them have to work, they try to be still hands-on to him by agreeing that at least one of them, or one of their relatives should be with the baby because they don’t want him to completely grow up in the presence of his nannies.

Being a mom is indeed a tough role to take on. Thus, we should always show our love, support, and respect to them as one of the heroes in our lives!
