For avid fans of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, did you know that it’s not only Coco Martin who’s the only “Martin ' on the show? Well, just in case you didn’t, there are actually two more Martins in the action-drama series – his two biological brothers Ronwaldo and Ryan, who play the roles of his character Tanggol’s younger brother Santino and barkada Dolfo, respectively. While this is Ryan’s first acting stint, this is actually Ronwaldo’s second time to work with his Kuya Coco after his appearance in FPJ's Ang Probinsyano as one of the members of Pulang Araw.
As we all know, Ronwaldo and Ryan aren’t the only ones to join their family member in a TV series. Over the years, we have also witnessed other real-life siblings who both appeared in one show, just like the ones we listed in this Kapamilya Snaps feature.
In 2022, phenomenal star Ivana Alawi scored her first-ever lead role in the family drama A Family Affair as the sultry Cherry Red. And viewers were surely surprised and, at the same time, delighted, upon learning that her younger sister Mona, who used to be known as child star Mona Louise Rey, would be the one to portray her younger version. Prior to this project, the well-loved sizzums gained fans by working together on Ivana’s vlogs.
While Mona and Ivana weren't able to share a scene, brothers Raymond and RK had several interactions when they were both cast in the 2018 afternoon soap opera Precious Hearts Romances Presents Araw Gabi. Their characters Virgilio (Raymond) and David (RK) might not have rapport between them, but they actually have a tight bond in real life.
Being scions of one of the prominent clans in showbiz, it's not surprising that brothers Geoff and Ryan Eigenmann both had astounding performances during their respective stints in FPJ's Ang Probinsyano. They appeared in different points or seasons of the long-running primetime series as among the enemies of the titular character Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin) and the Task Force Agila. Ryan portrayed Gascon, one of the villains who worked with Gustavo (Eddie Garcia), while Geoff played Albert, leader of the police group Black Ops.
And lastly, who would forget Joj and Jai Agpangan who portrayed twin sisters Clauie and Judy, close friends of Agnes (Liza Soberano) in the 2014 romance series Forevermore. They also starred together in the Maalaala Mo Kaya episode “Sulat," wherein they played s June and Jess, whose sisterhood was put to the test after falling in love with the same man.
