Kapamilya Snaps Love Triangles

Admit it 一 we all crave for the drama in a love story sometimes. Love triangles are especially a surefire way to make the lead character to second guess his or her feelings. While it may be troublesome to the happy ending we dream for our OTPs or “one true pair”, it makes the story all the more exciting.

Watch this Kapamilya Snaps video to know all about the most memorable love triangles in Kapamilya teleseryes!

The romantic teen series He’s Into Her brings together some of the most adorable pairings, but the budding affection between Max (Belle Mariano) and Deib (Donny Pangilinan) was disrupted when RJ (Jeremiah Lisbo), Belle’s ex-boyfriend, entered the picture. It seems that feelings still linger between Max and RJ, so Deib is struggling to find a way to get back in the game. Add in to the fact that Deib and RJ have an existing rivalry in the basketball court, meaning the tension will get even higher as they fight for Max’s love.

The past and the present tug at Rita’s (Yam Concepcion) heartstrings in the steamy teleserye Init Sa Magdamag. When she was a young woman pursuing a medical career, she found a great love and whirlwind of a romance in Tupe (Gerald Anderson). Unfortunately, due to being mistakenly involved in a political issue, Tupe and Rita separated. Few years later, Rita fell in love with a successful man, Peterson (JM de Guzman). However, their love slowly turned sour as Tupe entered Rita’s life again. Jealousy, politics, and marriage issues enter the mix that puts Rita in a complicated love triangle.

Being half-sisters wasn’t enough to stop Dana (Yam Concepcion) and Jia (Kim Chiu) from falling in love with the same man in Love Thy Woman. When Dana and David (Xian lim were set to get married, they got into an accident that left Dana into a coma. David found comfort and support from Jia during such a trying time, but what was meant to be an innocent friendship turned into something more.

It was a battle between the childhood friends of Serena (Liza Soberano) in Dolce Amore. She developed special relationships with both Tenten (Enrique Gil), her childhood pen pal, and Giancarlo (Matteo Guidicelli), her childhood best friend while living in Italy. While Serena falls madly in love with Tenten when she meets him, Giancarlo does not back down and makes it his mission to marry Serena.

Till I Met You has an interesting love triangle of its own. Iris (Nadine Lustre) and Ali (JC Santos) have been friends since they were kids, which eventually made them explore a deeper relationship with each other. When they both moved to Greece and met Basti (James Reid), their dynamic changed. Basti started to develop feelings for Iris, and Ali developed feelings for Basti. The whole thing affected their friendships, but knowing which one turned into a romantic relationship was what everyone sought to know.

The drama in Los Bastardos was brought on a higher level with the love triangle of Isagani (Jake Cuenca), Isay (Maxine Medina), and Dulce (Kylie Versoza). Isagani’s old feelings for Dulce sparked trouble for his wife Isay. Despite Isagani reassuring his love for his wife, Dulce is a catty woman that is driven to steal her man.

Sisters Ana (Julia Montes) and Samantha (Shaina Magdayao) of Asintado cherished each other when they were kids, but they got separated when they were adopted by different families. Years after when they grew up, they fall in love with the same man, Gael (Paulo Avelino). A rivalry between them ensues, still unaware that they are each other’s long-lost sisters.

In Walang Hanggang Paalam, Celine’s (Angelica Panganiban) current boyfriend Anton (Zanjoe Marudo) is consumed by jealousy when Celine’s ex-husband, Emman (Paulo Avelino), returns to her life. While Celine stays true to her relationship with Anton, it’s revealed that Emman only got separated from Celine because he was wrongfully framed for a crime. Emman only wants to get his family back and let Celine go, yet he couldn’t deny that he still cares for Celine.

Playhouse’s Patty (Angelica Panganiban) and Marlon (Zanjoe Marudo) had a passionate love, but their marriage didn’t work after several problems and challenges. Despite being annulled, they were forced to continue to be together to take care of their godchild and adoptive son. Slowly, it became obvious that their relationship has a chance to be fixed again. Patty, though, still tries to move on when she sees a spark of love with Harold (Carlo Aquino), making her question if she should cut ties with Marlon completely.

In the fictional kingdom of Yangdon in Princess and I, Prince Jao (Enrique Gil) met Mikay (Kathryn Bernardo) and fell in love with her charm. However, what he didn’t know is that Mikay’s friend in the Philippines, Gino (Daniel Padilla), also has feelings for her. Mikay undergoes the difficult choice between the two men as she has close and sweet relationships with both of them.

We all wanted to believe that Chichay (Kathryn Bernardo) and Joaquin (Daniel Padilla) were meant to be in Got To Believe, but a series of obstacles were always in the way. Regardless of despising each other when they first met and Chichay worked as Joaquin’s personal maid, they developed a close bond that turned into something more than friendship. Unfortunately, their love had to end and they grew up far from each other. When they finally meet in Singapore, Chichay could not act on her returning feeling of love because Joaquin suffered from a memory loss and is in a relationship with Alex (Liza Soberano).

We understand that love is complicated, but love triangles definitely make it messier. Did these love triangles crush your heart?
