Working in the entertainment industry could be totally demanding and exhausting, thus, celebrities make sure to keep themselves fit and strong by usually following a healthy diet and having an active lifestyle.

While most of them opt to run, do sports, and/or hit the gym, there are some who ride their bikes as their form of exercise and even as a hobby. Check out this Kapamilya Snaps feature to find out who among our favorite celebrities totally enjoy wheeling around on their bikes!


Donny Pangilinan

Aside from basketball, Donny’s another way of keeping himself fit is through cycling. Whenever he’s not busy with work, the He’s Into Her leading man can probably be spotted taking his two wheels for a spin.

And his favorite biking buddy? His beloved daddy Anthony Pangilinan! We wonder if he and loveteam partner Belle Mariano have already tried biking together during their days-off?


Kim Chiu

Through the years, the It’s Showtime host is amazingly able to maintain her slender figure. And one of her secrets could be taking on different sports like cycling, which she’s able to also utilize when she joined various duathlons, as well as when she played the role of a triathlete named Bianca in the first-ever Kapamilya sports series Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin in 2017.

In 2018, Kim imparted via an Instagram post that she finished her first duathlon race with zero training. She wrote, “people asked me why I join this kind of sport, do I really want to get that podium finish? I said NO. joining this kind of races makes me know myself even more, every race I discover something new about myself. It pushed me to my limits out of my comfort zone, I have to finish this thing on my own, my own body, my own mind, my own strength, not depending on anyone else’s ability. [sic]”


Gerald Anderson

Prior to starring in his reunion project with former loveteam partner Kim Chiu, which was the 2017 daytime series Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin wherein they both played triathletes, Gerald is actually been competing in triathlons since 2015 in pursuit of new challenges. And one of the A Family Affair star’s biggest achievement in this sport is finishing fourth in the 25th Subic Bay International Triathlon (SuBIT) in 2018.

Apart from making sure that he’s in good condition, he apparently also does the same to his beloved bike as it has its own space and cleans it inside his abode.


Jake Cuenca

Being a frequent participant in triathlons, Jake was indeed a good fit to play the role of Carlos, also a triathlete, in the 2017 ABS-CBN sport-serye Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin alongside Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.

Amidst his busy schedule, the Viral Scandal actor tries his best to stay conditioned by training at home and going on leisure rides either before sunrise or during sunset.


Ion Perez

Before heading to It’s Showtime at noontime, Ion seems to usually start his day by wheeling around as early as 4 o’clock in the morning based on his posts on IG. Thus, there’s no wonder that he is able to maintain his toned physique.

And he had the chance to share the road with his beloved spouse Vice Ganda as they went on a quick bike ride together with the other hosts of It’s Showtime during their stay in Pampanga.


Gary Valenciano

We all know him as great singer-songwriter and all-out performer. But aside from these, Gary V is also a lodi when it comes to cycling! In fact, he has a YouTube channel where he uploads videos of his bike rides, including that one when he pedaled from Antipolo, Rizal all the way to Calatagan, Batangas.

Mr. Pure Energy expressed his love for this hobby in an IG post in which he wrote, ““just wish I could be blessed with the chance to ride for many many more years to come.”


Jolina Magdangal

Whenever she’s not interviewing celebrities in Magandang Buhay or critiquing performances of contestants in Tawag Ng Tanghalan, Momshie Jolens could be seen hanging out with her family at home or through the streets at they ride their bikes.

She shared on social media that she and husband Mark Escueta would go biking every morning to stay healthy. There are also times when they would also tag along their kids Pele and Vika for a more fun family bonding experience.


Kristine Hermosa

Just like Jolina and Mark, Kristine and husband Oyo Boy Sotto also keep the spark in their relationship by trying out different activities together, such as cycling. Whenever they’re not busy with their duties at work and at home, they apparently grab their helmets and ride their bikes through the streets or other trails together with their family and friends.

Of course, there are also times when they take their kids with them and bike around their village as a one big, happy family.


Matteo Guidicelli

In a media interview in 2014, Matteo reminisced about receiving his first-ever bike from his dad, which he initially didn’t like. Not long after, he suddenly started enjoying it and it became his baby. It was also on that same interview where he divulged that his favorite place to ride then is in Bohol, where his father organizes annually an event called Giro d’ Luca.

Prior to that, Matteo finished the Ironman 70.3 held in Cebu in 2013 at 5 hours and 21 minutes.


Gretchen Ho

After becoming popular as one of the greatest volleyball players in the country, Gretchen went on to become an advocate of cycling not just an exercise, but as a part of our daily lives, too!

In fact, in August 2020, the “Woman In Action” started the “Donate a bike, save a job” campaign, which aims to give away bicycles to individuals who are in dire need of an alternative mode of transportation and/or source of income during the height of the pandemic. Due to the help she got from fellow celebrities and other people, it turned out successful as this project was able to acquire and distribute 1000 bicycles by December 2020.
