In light of the 2022 ABS-CBN Christmas ID “Tayo Ang Ligaya Ng Isa’t Isa,” which resonates with a deep message of love, hope, and gratitude, our favorite Kapamilya pairs reflect to identify the things that made their hearts flutter with gratefulness this year.
The full impact of their rom-com series 2 Good 2 Be True has hit Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla aka KathNiel. It fared well in numbers, but more than that, it brought them new meaningful connections with their co-stars. Kathryn muses, “Isang taon kaming magkakasama sa lock in, so lahat ng bumubuo nu’n, naka-build kami ng family doon sa lock-in. They made my life so much easier kasi ang dadali nilang pakisamahan lahat.”
There are no words to fully describe how blissful the year 2022 has been for Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano. How do we count their overflowing blessings? We can start with their new movie “An Inconvenient Love,” which they consider an early Christmas gift.
Listening to DonBelle, we also learn that doing our passion leads to joy and gratitude. “Just the fact that we’re still able to do what we love to do and ABS-CBN is here as a family, we’re going through this together and that we get to celebrate another Christmas. It’s always a joy to celebrate Christmas especially when you’re with the people you care about,” explains Donny, with Belle adding, “I’m grateful that we’re able to celebrate Christmas with you, guys.”
Reel and real-life couple Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte thank the Lord for the surprises including the grace to surpass challenges. “Hindi Niya tayo pinababayaan sa kahit anong pagsubok man na dumating sa buhay natin. Kahit minsan pinanghihinaan na tayo pero lagi Niya tayong sinu-surprise sa mga magagandang nangyayari pa,” shares Loisa, while Ronnie seconded, “Sabihin mo lang kay Lord, ‘Lord, Kayo na’ng bahala,’ at ibibigay Niya lahat.” LoiNie is also thankful to their families and fans for the unwavering support.
For most of us, it took a lot of courage to survive 2022, and even KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad aka KDLex aren’t immune to the tests. Alexa feels blessed that "despite all the challenges, I’m still going strong.”
For the newly-minted tandem of Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin aka FranSeth, life has been more beautiful because of the people they are surrounded with. Grateful for the gift of life, Francine ponders, “Ang dami kong nadi-discover everyday, hindi lang lugar kundi mga tao na rin and nakakatuwa na iba’t ibang klaseng pagmamahal ng mga tao sa paligid ko ‘yung nakukuha ko.” The overflowing love comes from her family, friends, and co-workers.
Seth likewise expressed appreciation for his ‘ligaya’ or the people he’s been blessed with, “’Yung paggising ko sa umaga, nandiyan sila, kumpleto silang lahat. Matatapos na ang 2022, 2023 na nandiyan pa rin sila, kasama ko pa rin.”
