Besides vocal harmony, one key to the success of P-Pop group BINI is maintaining their relationship. The girls tackled how they keep their team spirit strong in this episode of Kapamilya Chat.
The first step to building solidarity, according to BINI, is giving space, especially when they notice one of them is not in the mood. “Hinahayaan po namin siya. Tapos ‘pag feeling namin okay na siya ngayon, ire-reach out namin siya, kakausapin namin siya. Kasi ang hirap ‘pag pipilitin mo ‘yung isang tao na, ‘Okay ka lang?’ Kahit hindi naman okay,” Maloi said, to which Mikah added, “Binibigyan din natin sila ng understanding.”
Arguments are a normal part of any relationship. For BINI, while it’s inevitable, they turn them into chances to grow closer. As Mikha put it, “I think having arguments is healthy kasi that’s where you learn about each other, adjust with each other. Nagkakaintindihan po kayo at the end of the argument. Nagco-communicate po kami sa isa’t isa. We really talk about how we can fix things.”
Proof of their closeness is they know each other’s individual dreams other than being a successful P-Pop group. Jhoanna went through her teammates and revealed their secret ambitions. First, she mentioned that she wants to become a reporter. She also said Stacey wants to be a flight attendant; Colet, a teacher; Sheena, a choreographer or a doctor; Gwen, makeup artist; and Mikha, an actress, which she’s already achieved by starring in He’s Into Her Season 2; Aiah, a businesswoman, and Maloi wants to become a music teacher.
BINI is truly an inspiration in reaching dreams. We get that vibe from the song “Up,” their first official recording with BGYO, out now on digital music platforms. The music video is also available via Star Music’s YouTube Channel.
