Being a performing artist is arguably one of the most exciting careers out there. We got to see actors take on a variety of roles in the teleseryes and/or movies that they star in, while singers, dancers, and hosts never fail to impress us with their performances as they take on the stage of the live shows that they appear in.
While it’s already amazing how they’re able to put themselves in the shoes of different personas or showcase various facets of themselves in their performances, what astounds us more about artists are their life stories, which many of us can probably relate to or be inspired by. Thus, it’s going to be interesting to see their lives turned into a movie, right?
So, we asked some celebrities who are the actors they’re likely to choose to portray them in a film about their life story, and we collated their responses in this exclusive video!
Let’s begin with former child stars Miguel Vergara, Jana Agoncillo, Krystal Mejes, and Marc Santiago, who currently appear in the well-loved primetime series, “Lavender Fields.” Miguel picked John Lloyd Cruz, who’s apparently one of the actors that he looks up to, while Jana said that it would be Kaila Estrada because, aside from receiving comments that they look similar, she also played young Bettina in “Can’t Buy Me Love.”
Krystal opted for herself in order for the movie to be more authentic and natural, but the only difference is that there will be cameras. Marc, meanwhile, chose Seth Fedelin since he’s one of the actors that he idolizes and he’s confident that he will be able to pull it off.
The cast of “High Street” also enthusiastically shared their picks. For Andrea Brillantes, it would be her co-star Xyriel Manabat because she’s certain that she will be able to do it or probably even surpass her acting prowess. Xyriel, meanwhile, would likely choose child actress Cassy Lavarias, who plays the young counterpart of GMA 7 actress Barbie Forteza in an ongoing series, as she was amused by her performance.
“Pamilya Sagrado” actor Emilio Daez liked it to be Hollywood actor and “Oppenheimer” star Cillian Murphy because he’s one of his favorites. “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11” host Robi Domingo expressed that Piolo Pascual would be his top choice for the role.
While we usually see them sing, dance, or host, the “ASAP” mainstays also have their respective stories to tell. Jason Dy wishes Kyle Echarri to portray him since he’s a great actor, while the first person to come into Darren Espanto’s mind was his friend and “Can’t Buy Me Love” co-star Donny Pangilinan because aside from the fact that they’re almost the same age, he also wanted to put his singing skills to the test.
Meanwhile, Edward Barber said that it would be Jericho Rosales for him because he finds him an amazing actor and he loves him so much, while it’s BINI Gwen for Maymay Entrata since many people have been telling her that they look alike.
Sofia Andres didn’t have another person in mind but her ultimate idol, Kristine Hermosa. Alexa Ilacad is kilig at the thought of Marian Rivera portraying her if her life were made into a movie!
Lastly, Karel Marquez, Shanaia Gomez, and Jai Ho would opt to portray themselves.
