Bond with MNL48 as they talk about their secrets, dream collabs, and more

It’s an afternoon of charm and fun as MNL48 members – Abby, Sheki, Jamie, Ruth, Ella, Jan, and Andi – catch up with us in this episode of Kapamilya Chat.

Recently hailed as the newest MNL48 Center Girl, Abby is still over the moon, reaping the fruit of three years’ worth of hard work. She calls it a dream come true. Watching the girls banter, we can see the friendship grown by the shared passion for performing and commitment to the team. Outside work, they love to bond over food trips and endless chit-chats as well.

The girls have mastered the hacks for a glowing aura. Jan said keeping a positive attitude is on top of the list because whatever you feel inside will manifest on the outside. Pretty faces with good hearts, MNL48 members cheer each other on so they would blossom as a team. More importantly, they value self-love.

Girl talks are often infused with skin-care ‘horror’ stories, said Sheki, who often gets breakouts. The good thing is she has sisters to run to for tips and to be supported by equally beautiful ladies makes her more confident.

MNL48 went on to talk about their trainings which they said have transitioned to Zoom as well. They would study the dance steps sent by their coaches until the actual rehearsals. On the bright side, the circumstances pushed them to be more determined.

The girls have another reason to celebrate as their newest single “River” gets more than a million views. For Abby, the song imparts a message of pulling through amid trials. The music video, which they did in just a day, has likewise garnered positive feedback for its stunning visuals. With this, the group is thankful to everyone who helped them create the music video.

Siyempre ang mga Pinoy, hindi tayo papatalo,” said Jan of the evolution of P-Pop. The bunch is proud of how OPM is thriving. Ella added, “’Yun talaga ang pinaka-essence ng P-Pop, i-represent ang Pilipinas at maipakita ang mga talent ng Pilipino at ang culture natin na napakaganda.”

Asked for their dream collaboration, they mentioned Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo and Korean star IU. The list would also include Ariana Grande and Beyonce.

MNL48 thanked everyone who keeps on supporting them despite the circumstances. They promised to make more beautiful music, keeping their faith that brighter days are coming. Giving their fans something to look forward to, the group revealed that they are working on their seventh single.
