Marry Me Marry You Behind the scenes

It’s a union of friendship and laughter on the set of upcoming Kapamilya teleserye Marry Me, Marry You! We had the first look at lead stars Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino as bride and groom in a recent teaser, this time, we get to see more of the bond, teases, and kilig that extend behind the cameras.

Paulo and Janine, playing Andrei and Camille, respectively, shot scenes in an office dressed as the fictional “Juan Signal.” The award-winning actress was obviously kilig with her leading man, “Mahirap hindi kiligin kay Pau!” We know, Janine!

She added that Paulo loves to keep the set light and treat them with food trips. “Masaya talaga kapag kasama ko si Pau sa set kasi hindi mo namamalayan ‘yung oras sa dami ng hirit niya. It’s really nice kasi alagang-alaga niya lahat ng tao sa set. Si Pau at Jake palaging may pakain kaya I’m very lucky.”

Paulo returned the compliment, “Lagi naman nagpapa-happy sa set si Janine. Happy ako kapag kasama ko siya.”

Joining them in the series is new Kapamilya Jake Ejercito as Cedric, who works in the same company as Andrei and Camile. The Kapamilya actor promised that this is not your typical teleserye. “It’s been an amazing experience so far. What’s nice about this show, it has a new flavor, unlike any other shows. Kaya marami silang dapat abangan,” shared Jake.

The more senior artists Cherry Pie Picache and Vina Morales grew instant sisterhood with another new Kapamilya Sunshine Dizon. The trio was caught sharing ‘chika’ about some girly things! Vina told Cherry Pie, “Mars, huwag mong pairalin ang emosyon mo,” to which the latter replied, “Siyempre, hindi naman ganun kadali!” Then they burst into boisterous laughter.

The object of their girly noise is none other than Edu Manzano, who can make Cherry Pie kilig even without trying. The seasoned actress, portraying Elvie, expressed gratitude for the continuous work amid the pandemic and for the good weather on that day.

Vina, playing Marvi, gushed about the artists’ friendship. “This is a happy set. We’re really like a happy family.  I’m sure, after these cycles ng mga tapings namin, nagha-hang out pa rin kami because masaya sa set, masaya silang kasama.”

For Sunshine, who plays Paula, work is a breeze thanks to their off-cam bond. “We all made an effort to bond. Personally, I consider it a blessing na jive lahat ng cast members with a lot of things. It’s so easy to work with them.”

And in times of homesickness, her co-stars are there to make things light. “Siyempre, you get lonely at times kasi may mga pamilya tayong naiiwan because we’re on lock-in pero napupunan ‘yun ng laughter, learnings.”

Also in the series are up and coming stars Fino Herrera, Ej Jallorina, Iana Bernardez, Luis Vera Perez, and The Squad Plus’ Angelica Lao.

Wedding bells are ringing! So, watch out for the premiere of kilig TV series Marry Me, Marry You, directed by Dwein Baltazar and Jojo Saguin, on ABS-CBN platforms.
