From being an adorable bulilit, Miles Ocampo has indeed bloomed into a fine young woman who astounds us not just with her enthralling splendor, but with her exceptional acting chops, too, especially during her special participation in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo as the young Marites, played by veteran actress Cherry Pie Picache.
As we’ve watched her grow right before our eyes both as an individual and as an actor, we have also witnessed the transformation of her style on the red carpet of the Star Magic Ball through the years.
She may be in the industry since 2004, but it was only during the fourth staging of the star-studded glamorous event in 2010 when she got to attend for the first time. Reflecting her sweet and endearing personality, she marked her red-carpet debut in a shimmering black ball gown and half of her hair up, as well as putting on light make-up and pair of hoop earrings. She arrived with her Goin’ Bulilit co-stars Kathryn Bernardo and John Manalo.
The following year, Miles looked refreshing in her ruffled champagne mermaid gown, which exuded elegance. Letting her hair medium-length wavy hair down and pairing her outfit with minimal accessories and a small clutch bag with the same hue, Miles indeed came into the scene as a graceful young lady on the red carpet.
In 2012, she arrived to the Ball with handsome young actor Marco Gumabao, who was her loveteam partner in the youth-oriented weekly series LUV U. She wore a sweetheart embellished and ruffled black ball gown, matching it with gold jewelries and black ball gown and her long hair down.
She then opted for a serpentine satin white sweetheart gown in 2013, which she paired with silver bangle, earrings, and clutch bag. Her lack of jewelry screamed simplicity in the midst of glitz and glamour, which made us love her look even more. With her long wavy hair dyed in burgundy, Miles looked ravishing in her get-up.
Miles was a picture of sophistication and grace as she appeared in an immaculate white fit-and-flare off-shoulder, mermaid-cut frock with a back train in 2014. She wore her straightened hair down and completed her look with a pearl necklace, which made her look more elegant and chicer than ever.
From wearing the same color in two consecutive years, Miles added a bit of a burst in color for her look at the 2015 Star Magic Ball. She looked fab in the two-piece mermaid gown ensemble, comprised by a heavily-embellished sleeveless top in nude color, while the bottom part was a peach colored satin skirt sprinkled with pearls and beads.
In the succeeding years, she astonished us when Miles decided to get a bit bolder and edgier with her outfit preferences. In 2016, she donned a body-hugging black trumpet dress that exposed her upper back, making it simple yet classy by wearing silver accessories and a black box clutch bag. And in 2017, she gave us a majestic look by opting for an appliqued décolletage black ball gown. She further gave us a peek of her chest by putting her hair into a chignon.
Will Miles Ocampo appear in this year’s much-awaited staging of the ABS-CBN Ball? Well, that’s for us to find out on September 30!
Apart from being a star-studded night of glitz and glamour, the upcoming ABS-CBN Ball 2023 will also put the spotlight on the stories of thanksgiving, togetherness, and hope shared by Kapamilya artists, employees, partners, and collaborators, who all share the vision of delivering stories that promote human good to our dear audiences.
