As ordinary citizens, we may think celebrities don’t understand what it feels to be a fanboy or fangirl – being starstruck whenever they notice us on social media, and most exceedingly when we get to see them in the flesh!
But, let us break this to you: our Kapamilya stars actually understand how we think and feel because they are fan girls and boys themselves of international superstars as well! Find out who are some of them by going through this gallery!
Even before she became popular, AC Bonifacio already met American singer-songwriter and actress Ariana Grande after she and her former dance partner Lucky Ancheta were privileged enough to score VIP tickets to the popstar’s concert in Vancouver, Canada from American veteran host Ellen DeGeneres when they appeared on her show sin 2015. And their luck didn’t end there as Ariana invited both of them to perform with her onstage during the concert.
Aside from the “Thank You, Next” hitmaker, AC also had the once in a lifetime opportunity to meet American songstress Bebe Rexha and even hung out with American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth at his very own villa.
It wasn’t only AC who was able to fulfil her dream of performing alongside Ariana Grande, but the world-class Pinoy kid singing trio TNT Boys as well. It can be recalled that Francis Concepcion, Kiefer Sanchez, and Mackie Empuerto were featured on The Late Late Show With James Corden last year, wherein the host surprised them by letting their idol, and coincidentally his guest for that certain episode, to sing with them onstage.
Meanwhile, while they are undeniably among the biggest stars in the country at present, KathNiel, LizQuen, Vice Ganda, Kim Chiu, Anne Curtis, and Arci Muñoz also had their respective fan moments, too!
Many Swifties out there were surely envious upon seeing that photo of Kathryn Bernardo and her friends mingling with American Music Awards Artist of the Decade Taylor Swift after her last concert here in the Philippines in 2014. On the other hand, admirers of her other half Daniel Padilla were definitely delighted to witness his first-ever meeting with his ultimate NBA idol Steph Curry when the latter visited here in 2015.
Aside from DJ, Enrique Gil and Kim Chiu also had the chance to see the prominent baller up close-and- personal during his visit second visit here in 2018. In the previous years, Quen also accompanied his on-and-off-screen sweetheart Liza Soberano in watching concerts and meet-and-greet events of international popstars, such as Selena Gomez in 2016 and Dua Lipa in 2018. The Make It With You stars snapped a photo with the “IDGAF” hitmaker alongside their friends Sofia Andres and The Killer Bride actress Janella Salvador.
While her sisterette and It’s Showtime co-host Vice Ganda gushed over world-renowned professional tennis player Roger Federer when he bumped into him at Dubai years ago, it’s totally amazing how Anne Curtis was able to keep her composure when she got to rub elbows with some of her (and ours as well!) favorite Korean idols. First was BLACKPINK, who she wasn’t only able to watch perform live during their concert in Manila in February 2019, but to be in one photo with them as well. On that same year in June, Anne was also tapped to host the Manila leg of Love In The Moonlight star Park Bo Gum’s “Encounter” fan meet. And a few months after, she had the once in a lifetime opportunity to finally meet her ultimate oppa Gong Yoo, lead actor of Train To Busan and Goblin, and Sehun of the K-pop group EXO during a luxury fashion brand’s event they all attended.
Meanwhile, apart from going to the concerts, visiting the shop, and buying merchandises of her ultimate fave boy group BTS, Pamilya Ko actress Arci Muñoz thrilled her followers on Instagram when she uploaded her selfies with American singer-songwriter rapper Post Malone and Hollywood actress Michelle Rodriguez taken during the events wherein they were also present.
Other international artists to get our Kapamilya stars smitten were fashion model Gigi Hadid, to whom Goin’ Bulilit alumna Alexa Ilacad shared a selfie when the latter represented Philippines in global cosmetic brand’s event in Japan along with actress Gabbi Garcia; American actor-model Cole Sprouse, who hung out and enthusiastically snapped shots with local artists and models, such as Claudia Barretto, Leila Alcasid, during his fan event here in the Philippines for a local clothing brand in 2018; and Nancy of MOMOLAND, who made Christmas merrier for Hashtags McCoy De Leon and Zeus Collins and GirlTrend Chienna Filomeno as she gamely mingled and had selfies with them right after their guesting on It’s Showtime last year.
Umagang Kay Ganda host and ABS-CBN Sports correspondent Gretchen Ho definitely had the time of her life when she didn’t only get to enjoy covering the NBA All-Star Weekend in 2018, but even meet and chat with Golden State Warriors star player Stephen Curry and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo lead actor Nam Joo Hyuk.
So, whose fan moment is the cutest for you?
