Early this month, Dreamscape Entertainment gave us a delightful surprise by announcing the great news that Kapamilya Primetime King Coco Martin is making a teleserye comeback in 2023 through the adaptation of another Fernando Poe Jr. masterpiece, Batang Quiapo, with the late veteran actor’s daughter Lovi Poe as his leading lady. 

This comes months after the success of the long-running action-drama series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano bade farewell last August with an astonishing, record-breaking, and trending finale, which ran for nearly seven years.

And prior to astounding us anew with his acting chops and creative mind, he swooned us first with his appearance in the ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2022 opposite his new onscreen partner Lovi. Despite sharing the stage for the first time, we can all agree that the two were indeed oozing with chemistry as they performed a duet of VST & Company’s “Ikaw Ang Aking Mahal."

Coco showed off his innate kakulitan and natural charm while serenading Lovi. The sexy actress, on the other hand, played along with his playfulness as she displayed how equally smitten she was by her newest onscreen partner.
