Award-winning actress Janine Gutierrez ended speculations on Friday, January 15, formally signing an exclusive network contract with ABS-CBN, to become the newest Kapamilya star for 2021.
Acclaimed and recognized in “Babae at Baril” winning several acting awards in 2020, Janine will soon appear in momentous Kapamilya projects under Dreamscape Entertainment.
Janine signed her contract at the ABS-CBN corporate headquarters with top Kapamilya executives Chairman Mark Lopez, President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, CFO Rick Tan, and Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal. Janine was with her manager Leo Dominguez during the signing.
Janine has been a noteworthy actress appearing in various television programs during the course of her eight-year career in the industry.
Her portrayal of a saleslady in “Babae at Baril” brought thunderous plaudits all over the world, including noted film festivals, such as the 19th New York Asian Film Festival. She bagged the Gawad Urian Best Actress award for her performance, including the same accolade in the 2019 QCinema International Film Festival, where the film premiered, the Gawad Pasado, and the Urduja Heritage Film Awards.
She is the daughter of fellow actors Ramon Christopher and Lotlot de Leon, and grandchild of OPM icon Pilita Corrales. Superstar Nora Aunor is her maternal grandmother, being mom Lotlot’s adoptive mother.
