There are two sides to Halloween. Cinemas are lined up with suspense and jump scare filled movies. Televisions will feature anything mysterious. Over all, nights just feel down right haunted. But if you are not a fan or all that horror, this is also the season to get creative!
From hair and make-up to outfits, this is the perfect excuse to be someone or something else. Your costume does not even have to be scary, if that is not your thing. Just have fun with it. Yes, that goes for adults too! You might be too old for trick or treating but that does not mean you can’t dress up too. In fact, some of your favorite celebrities got in on the spooky spirits!
Terrified of clowns? Well, Liza Soberano might change your mind because she went as Stephen King’s IT this year. She still looks creepy, especially with that lonely balloon. But somehow her beauty is still shinning through. What did the other half of LizQuen wore? Meet Enrique Gil as the Joker. Now, if there is ever a Filipino adaptation of Batman, we know who could play the iconic villain.
It was all about the make-up for Awra Briguela. One look she gave us was angel and devil inspired. The other was a more intricate sugar skull designed inspired by Mexico’s Day of the Dead. There was also the love team of Chuckie and Annabelle? Two different characters from completely different times, yet Edward Barber and Maymay Entrata bridged that gap.
If you just want to dress up but not accidentally scare yourself when you look at the mirror, then be like Sue Ramirez. She transformed into Mia Themopolis before the make over from The Princess Diaries. Or how about the Vice Ganda? The Unkaboggable Star became Ramonda the Queen Mother of Wakanda from Marvel’s Black Panther. Jugs and Teddy are threatening to have us tearing up rather than scream. The duo went as Miguel and Hector Rivera from the Coco. Their costumes were so spot on, we can practically hear Remember Me playing in the background.
Who did you go this Halloween? If you missed the chance, there is always next year! Check out this gallery and see what you are missing out on.
