Piolo Pascual has been in the public eye for more than two decades. It’s not surprising that fans fall head over heels for him because of his superb talent in singing and acting, timeless good looks, and pleasant personality.
With this exceptional feat, he has been one of the significant fixtures in the Kapamilya Christmas station IDs through the years. From simple cameos alongside fellow stars in the earlier videos, his appearances have been meaningful in the recent stagings. He’s even tapped to be one of the singers of some Kapamilya holiday anthems, such as “Bro, Ikaw ang Star ng Pasko” in 2009 and “Just Love Ngayong Christmas” this year.
In 2008, Piolo confessed that being a father made him fully appreciate the importance of a complete family, which he has shown in his succeeding appearances, and reaching out to other people, especially children.
Just like what he did in “Ngayong Pasko Magniningning ang Pilipino” in 2010 when he accompanied an ill little girl in a hospital and when he lent his jacket to a Filipina standing at the center of Times Square, New York City in “Da Best ang Pasko ng Pilipino” in 2011.
Piolo is also good in conducting surprises as Gemma Solomon, an Overseas Filipina Worker based in Hong Kong got awestruck upon seeing him in person in “Magkasama Tayo Sa Kwento ng Pasko” in 2013. Also, the young players of the BayaniJuan Futbol Club got so overwhelmed with his gifts of new equipment and uniforms in “Thank You For The Love” in 2015.
He took a plunge in the 2016 “Isang Pamilya Tayo Ngayong Pasko” with 7th ASEAN Para-Games gold medalist Arnel Aba when they had a chat about the latter’s life before and after being a para-athlete. He also awarded him a special medal because of his undisputable contribution and inspiration to the Filipinos.
It was in the 2014 station ID when Piolo and Iñigo appeared together for the first time as he thanked him for being a good son and for giving him fulfillment in life.
Indeed, Piolo is more than just a centerpiece talent of ABS-CBN, he also embodies the ideals of compassion and generosity in this Season of Love and Giving.
