She would not be the Popstar Royalty for nothing. From being the champion of an amateur singing competition during her teenage years, Sarah Geronimo has since become one of the premiere performers in the entertainment scene.
With her impressive and dynamic vocal power and endearing personality, Sarah Geronimo turned into one of the most influential idols both locally and globally.
Thus, there's no surprise why she's been one of the top Kapamilya artists chosen to interpret majority of the ABS-CBN Christmas anthems, making her appear in the annual tradition.
A newbie then in the Kapamilya Network, Sarah was given the privilege to be one of the singers of "Sabay Tayo Ngayong Pasko" in 2004.
This stint was succeeded in 2008 when she sang the holiday hymn “May Katuparan ang Hiling sa Kapamilyang Kapiling,” which reminds us that we can achieve all the desires of our heart as long as we have our family and loved-ones by our side.
She later on joined Billy Crawford, Piolo Pascual, and KC Concepcion in singing the "Bro, Ikaw ang Star ng Pasko" that has been infecting us with Last Song Syndrome (LSS) since 2009, and the ASAP singers in "Lumiliwanag ang Mundo sa Kuwento ng Pasko" in 2012.
Apart from being an all-around performer and in-demand product endorser, Sarah became one of the brilliant coaches of The Voice Philippines. Thus, together with her fellow mentors Lea Salonga, Bamboo Mañalac, and Sharon Cuneta and their young protégés, they lent their talents in serenading the Kapamilyas with “Magkasama Tayo sa Kwento ng Pasko” in 2013 and “Isang Pamilya Tayo Ngayong Pasko” in 2016.
2014 was arguably her most remarkable CSID appearances to date. She might not be among the interpreters of “Thank You, Ang Babait Ninyo” since it was sung by The Voice Kids Season 1 finalists Lyca Gairanod, Darren Espanto, Juan Karlos Labajo, and Darlene Vibares. But her touching surprise encounter with her avid fan Rochelle, an adorable and optimistic girl inflicted by genetic disorder progeria, truly brought happiness to her and warmed our hearts.
Similar to the "Just Love Ngayong Christmas" campaign in 2017, Sarah is once again tapped as one of the singers of this year’s yuletide anthem “Family is Love”.
As we watched the Christmas station ID, her fans are surely delighted with her solos and duets with Billy Crawford and the Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and the fun moments she shared with her fellow Kapamilya stars. This includes Toni Gonzaga, Angel Locsin, Piolo Pascual, ABS-CBN Chief Content Officer Charo Santos-Concio, and veteran broadcast journalists Noli de Castro and Ted Failon.
Sarah is definitely one artist who leaves an indelible mark in our hearts and minds after her every onscreen or onstage performance. This is even more evident in her stints in the ABS-CBN Christmas station IDs through the years.
