Prepare for a more intense, scorching hot viewing experience as ABS-CBN and Star Creatives bring us the newest teleserye Init sa Magdamag.

 

In a live announcement straight from the team’s lock-in taping in Tanay, Rizal, Star Creatives finally revealed Gerald Anderson, JM de Guzman, and Yam Concepcion as the power trio to headline the political drama.

 

 

Gerald plays as Tupe, a community doctor. JM is Peterson Alvarez, an aspiring politician and the husband of Congresswoman Rita Alvarez portrayed by Yam.

 

Gerald, who recently wrapped up the action-drama series A Soldier’s Heart  last September 18, mentioned that it’s his first time working with Star Creatives and he feels blessed to be sharing this project with a great team. He quipped that their closeness was forced by the lock-in setup. Kidding aside, he teased, “It’s a very exciting story about love, family, and values.”

 

JM also feels grateful and he hopes for the viewers’ positive reception. The actor was last seen in the primetime soap Pamilya Ko.

 

Yam recently finished the afternoon drama Love Thy Woman where she donned a kontrabida role. This time, she’ll be back on the small and digital screens as the “palaban pero lumalaban sa tama” leading lady. “Four days na kami dito. So far, nakikilala ko si Rita lalo at nai-inspire ako sa kwento niya. I’m sure mai-inspire din kayo,” she promised the viewers.

 

The series will be helmed by director Raymond Ocampo who mentioned that he wanted the title to be “Init sa Magdamag” because it’s his favorite song.

 

Also in the show is Kate Alejandrino who plays as Rita’s best friend. Watch out for the unveiling of the whole cast and airing date of Init sa Magdamag very soon!
