Starred by Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual, who we’ve already seen play a number of father roles in the previous series he starred in, Hawak Kamay follows the story of his character Eugene “Gin” Agustin, a struggling aspiring musician who was forced to assume the responsibility of being the guardian to the three orphans adopted by his dearly departed sister Lily (Jennifer Sevilla) and her husband Jorge (Lander Vera Perez), namely, Emong (Zaijian Jaranilla), Dara (Xyriel Manabat), and Ningning (Yesha Camile).

This has also compelled him to not push through anymore with his plan of joining his girlfriend Meann (Nikki Gil) in working at a cruise ship as their way of preparing for their future life together, taking a toll on their relationship later on.

As he gets accustomed to living all by himself and earning money through accepting gigs, performing in various events, and holding music classes, he is definitely unprepared in taking on the huge accountability of taking good care and providing the needs of his now-foster children. But with the help of the domineering, crabby, yet exceptional lawyer Bianca Magpantay (Iza Calzado) and her sister Lorrie (Andrea Brillantes), who’s later on revealed to be her daughter, Gin eventually learns how to be a good, responsible, and dependable father figure to them.

Different problems and challenges loomed to tear them apart, but Gin, who was once apathetic, became determined to fight to keep all of them together and give them a complete family along with Atty. Bianca and Lorrie. Going through a lot of obstacles and being able to overcome those hand-in-hand, they’re able to realize and attest that it is not actually important if they are not related by blood as long as they are bound by the genuine love they have for each other.
