Live at the Pinoy Big Brother Hall this morning, Kris Aquino was joined by guest co-hosts Iza Calzado, Pokwang and ABS-CBN Foundation’s Program Director Tina Monzon-Palma in the continuing relief efforts of the network.
They acknowledged and thanked various sponsors and representatives for their pledges for typhoon Yolanda victims. Meanwhile, Kris said that the Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na T-shirts ran out of stock due to the overwhelming support from people all over the world. She also warned buyers of fake campaign t-shirts and assured everyone that more shirts are in production.
Later, sisters Vina Morales and Shaina Magdayao came and shared that their 92-year-old grandmother, whom they lost contact with during the typhoon, is finally with them in Manila. They said that it was their uncle that told them of their grandmother’s situation after the typhoon devastated Leyte, and they arranged transportation for her, given that their sick grandmother is already running out of medicines.
Karla Estrada, who also came to visit Kris, shared that she still has not talked to her mother who is in Leyte until now. It was her uncle, who was lucky enough to still have their communication lines open while in another part of the province, told her of their family's condition in Tacloban. She asked him to call her when he gets to their town so she would know if she will send transportation to evacuate her mother and some relatives. However, her uncle has not called until now. Karla became emotional and related that she is a native of Tacloban, and not only is she saddened with her family’s situation but also because of the destruction caused by the typhoon to her hometown. She also thanked her son Daniel Padilla’s fans who continue to help with their family’s own relief efforts.
“KrisTV” will continue with their live coverage of ABS-CBN’s relief operations until Friday.
