Together with “She’s The One” lead actress, Bea Alonzo, Kris Aquino met with Chef Jackie Laudico at the Culinary Studio of Diamond Hotel as she cooks and give twists to famous Filipino dishes that busy households can prepare for one week.
First, Chef Jackie cooked the classic Chicken Tinola and she used the remaining chicken stock for her next Filipino classic, Chicken Arroz Caldo. For this meal, she only used cooked regular rice and not the glutinous rice, which is commonly used in preparing porridges, to show how to maximize common household resources.
Finally, she demonstrated how to cook the Chicken Adobo, which was prepared for the International Food Expo in Japan. This Chicken Adobo version is almost the same with the usual Adobo most Filipinos prepare, only Chef Jackie puts onions to sweeten the dish.
