KrisTV explores the food truck business

Today, the “KrisTV” team continued their discovery of the food truck craze in the Metro.

The food trucks showcased during the show can be found in Capitol Commons along Shaw Boulevard in Pasig City. They explored first the food truck by Broosy where Kris specifically loved their Ramen’s broth. This food truck that can be booked for private events. The owners also prepared other dishes like Sisig Taco, Kani Salad and Chicken Popcorn that the hosts appreciated.

This was followed by their visit to the Shawarma Bros. food truck whose owners are Atenean buddies. Partners Abe Castro and Paolo Layug introduced their beef, lamb and chicken shawarmas, among others.

Their next stop was the Great Burger food truck owned by friends, Angelo Cosme and Rodney Ong. Though both of them do not have culinary backgrounds, they were still able to produce their bestsellers, the Great Burger Fries. Their food trucks are mostly present during food bazaars.

The first Asian franchise of The Cheese Steak Shop that serves authentic American cheese steaks was next. Most of their ingredients are imported from the USA such as the breads and  cheese that they use. They serve Bacon Cheese Steaks, Classic Philly Cheese Steak, Mushroom Cheese Steak and Garlic Fries, among others. Their classic cheese steaks cost P280 while their  premium servings start at P320. Aside from being at the Capitol Commons, they are also found in Amorsolo St., Legaspi Village, Makati City.

Lastly, Kris and Kim enjoyed the desert haven, Mio Gelati where young entrepreneur, Celina Nolasco prepared homemade Italian ice creams such as the Milk Chocolate flavor that Kris loved, Tequila Rose, Bubble Gum, Mango Cream Pie, Mint Fudge, Espresso Chips, Pistachio, Peanut Butter, Vanilla and Ferrero. Their regular ice creams cost P80 while their premium costs a hundred.
