Atom Araullo feels grateful to be the youngest journalist to host an afternoon show

“I’m very grateful that I was given this opportunity. I am relatively young in the industry, I’ve been around for only six to seven years. So, I’m just making the most out of it,” Atom Araullo said during the press conference of the new current affairs shows of ABS-CBN last August 6.

Araullo hosts a Friday afternoon program called Hiwaga. When asked what the show is all about, he had this to say, “Hiwaga is a show that talks about the paranormal, the unexplained and the mysterious. We try to present it in such way that people will be entertained and also will learn something about what scares them.”

Araullo also admitted that the show is a new concept for him so he reads up to develop his knowledge about the subject matter. Aside from being a journalist, Araullo shared his passion for taking photographs, which he would like to pursue as a career someday.

From Mondays to Fridays at 4:15 PM, viewers can now enjoy a different variety of public affairs shows starring Julius Babao’s Bistado on Mondays, Doris Bigornia’s Mutya ng Masa on Tuesdays, My Puhunan by Karen Davila on Wednesdays, Anthony Taberna’s Tapatan ni Tunying on Thursdays and Hiwaga by Atom Araullo on Fridays.
