A few days after this year’s Yuletide anthem “Andito Tayo Para Sa Isa’t Isa” and its lyric video was officially released, ABS-CBN finally launched the music video of the much-awaited Christmas ID last November 12, which became among the top trending topics on social media due to the outpouring support of avid Kapamilyas.
Tagged “Christmas ID ng Pilipino,” it showcases how faith, hope, and love continue to emanate in each one of us despite the difficulties, sickness, and even deaths of loved ones that we have to go through. The past two years may have been really tough for all of us, but this music video reminds us that there is definitely an end to this long, exhausting, and dark tunnel as long as we keep on hoping and praying that all will be alright in time, as well as we continue to be there for each other as one family.
Besides, this also pays homage not just to the people who have done enormous things during this crisis, such as our valiant front liners, but to every one of us who has done great things in our own small ways to survive this catastrophe and be able to help other people at the same time, making us each other’s answered prayers and source of strength and inspiration. It features the stories of ordinary individuals and groups whose have become instruments of God of bringing light, joy, and miracle to other people through the kindness and compassion they showed.
Over 20 Kapamilya singers lent their voices to perform the anthem, namely Sharon Cuneta, Piolo Pascual, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Sarah Geronimo, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Seth Fedelin, Andrea Brillantes, Martin Nievera, Ogie Alcasid, Belle Mariano, Donny Pangilinan, Gary Valenciano, Erik Santos, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Inigo Pascual, Darren Espanto, Piolo Pascual, BGYO, KZ Tandingan, Vice Ganda.
The Christmas ID is starred by the illustrious and talented artists of the Kapamilya network, cladded in official “Andito Tayo Para Sa Isa’t Isa” shirts as they sing the lines of the song and bop to its easy-to-follow hand gestures while at the comforts of their homes, lock-in taping venues, or elsewhere. They were also seen clapping their hands and giving a salute to the camera as a way of paying tribute to every Kapamilya out there.
Aside from the artists, our kababayans from different walks of life and parts of the Philippines and of the world were also shown dancing to “Andito Tayo Para Sa Isa’t Isa,” as well as the three ABS-CBN big bosses – Chairman Mark L. Lopez, President and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak, and Chief Operating Officer of Broadcast Cory Vidanes – who also delivered their heartfelt messages for everyone.
