While many of the loveteams we admire started out as mere colleagues onscreen, its was a totally different story for Pira-Pirasong Paraiso stars Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte, who became a couple first before being paired to one another.
Their avid fans surely know that their paths initially crossed when they worked together in It’s Showtime as members of its very own girl and boy groups GirlTrends and Hashtags in 2016. It was only in 2018 when they finally confirmed the real score between them, the same year they starred in their first project together, Wansapanataym Presents Gelli In A Bottle.
As the LoiNie tandem got formed, they then got paired in the “Jersey” episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya and The General’s Daughter the following year, as well as in the iWantTFC original series “Unloving U” and “The Goodbye Girl.” Their first starring role in a movie finally came in 2020 via “James and Pat and Dave,” and in a teleserye via Love In 40 Days in 2022.
And after mesmerizing us with their first-ever appearance together at a Ball in 2018, the two once again graced us with their lovely presence in the ABS-CBN Ball 2019. Loisa was a dazzling muse in the shimmering textured red Modern Filipiniana by fashion designer Amanda Jazz. Making it extra elegant were the sparkling beads that bedecked it, as well as the feathery detail on the skirt part.
It was a bit revealing as it had a low-cut mesh neckline that exposed her décolletage and a thigh-high slit that showed off her flawless legs. She punctuated it with a pair of silver stilettos and accessories, as well as a romantic coif that featured wispy bangs.
Ronnie, on the other hand, apparently had two outfits prepared for that glitzy charity event. He initially posed for photos in a maroon camisa de chino and gray trousers that he topped with a striped blazer that featured white dainty floral embroideries. But he decided to go with the deconstructed black barong and black trousers by Jaggy Glarino. He accentuated it with a pair of black leather shoes, quirky eyeglasses, and mismatched earrings. His buzzcut, we can say, gave additional oomph to his look that year, that even put him to the list of Best Dressed Men at the charity gala of a magazine.
