The recent episode of “Stars on Stars,” which features two guest artists sharing a candid conversation by asking each other the most interesting questions, had "It's Showtime" hosts MC and Lassy open up about their beginnings in the world of stand-up comedy, as well as their childhood dreams, friendship, and love life.

They recalled the moment they discovered their knack for humor, with Lassy saying that he was the class clown since grade school. Interestingly, they had other dreams before life took a different turn. MC aspired to become a flight attendant, but the thought of becoming a stand-up performer came to light during his first visit to a comedy bar.

Meanwhile, Lassy previously had an office job. He went to a comedy bar with his officemates to unwind, then, the host called him up on stage. Thanks to his natural humor and amusing banter with the comedians on stage, he caught the interest of the comedy bar owner, who hired him as a dancer/performer. To help the bar, which was only starting at the time, Lassy agreed to also work as a kitchen staff and DJ.

Acknowledging the hurdles, they admitted to feeling intimidated by their seniors back in the day. MC said his worst experience as a comedian would have to be trying to keep up with the bar’s elite performers – he mentioned names from Chokoleit to Ethel Booba, Ate Gay, and Pooh. They shared interesting anecdotes about their earliest encounters with Vice Ganda, who is now a good friend of theirs. According to MC and Lassy, the Unkabogable Star has instilled in them the importance of learning to save money.

They also talked about their enduring friendship, exploring how their contrasting personalities balance each other, leading to a seamless partnership on stage. MC shared that he instantly knew they’d click as a comedy duo when they met for the first time.

Some of the questions touched on the topic of love, with Lassy disclosing that he’s in a long-distance relationship. Apart from their beliefs about love, they revealed hilarious stories about the craziest things they did for a guy.
