The Pangilinan Family is known both in the entertainment industry and the field of politics. It all started with the nine sons and daughters of Donato Pangilinan, an engineer and entrepreneur from Pampanga, and Emma Nepomuceno, a public school teacher with roots from Nueva Ecija and Marinduque.
Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan is a public figure who served as a Councilor of Quezon City from 1988 to 1992 and as a Senator of the Philippines from 2001 to 2013. He was also appointed as Presidential Assistant for Food Security and Agricultural Modernization in 2014 and was in office for a year. He didn't shy away from the cameras and gave free legal assistance on-air through ABS-CBN's "Hoy Gising!" and "Barangay Dos!" and DZMM's "Relos Report with Atty. Kiko."
Kiko married Sharon Cuneta in 1996. They have three kids: Frankie, Miguel, and Miel. The Megastar was first married to Gabby Concepcion in 1984 and had their first born, KC Concepcion, an actress and singer herself.

Gary V. came from a family of entertainers himself. His sister, Gina Valenciano, showed a love for dancing at an early age. She became a member of the original Hotlegs dance group. She is married to comedian Leo Martinez, who used to be with actress Cherrie Gil. She is most known for her antagonist roles and confrontation scenes, including the now-classic "You're nothing but a second-rate, trying hard copy cat!" She and Leo had a son named Jay Gil.
Anthony Pangilinan, a training specialist, is married to actress Maricel Laxa. They have five kids: Ella, Benjamin, Donny, Hannah, and Solana. Maricel is the daughter of ex-couple Imelda Illanan and actor Tony Ferrer (real name: Antonio Laxa), tagged as the James Bond of Philippine Cinema. Tony was first married to Mutya ng Pilipinas Alice Crisostomo, his on-screen partner in "The Golden Child" (1971). Their daughter is actress Mutya Crisostomo.
Only the three Pangilinans of the brood became public figures.
