KSnaps Stars who have tried pottery

Spending most of their days in front of the camera and under the spotlight as they take on their craft could be stressful, exhausting, and draining. Thus, celebrities make sure to destress whenever they have the chance by going on vacations or turning to sports and hobbies. And in recent years, we’ve been seeing stars who have seemingly developed a fondness toward pottery, such as the ones in this Kapamilya Snaps feature!

Kathryn Bernardo

The Asia’s Superstar had a “one happy day” with her family in January 2023 as they went pottery-making together at a popular local ceramic studio, which seemed to be their way of celebrating the birthday of her beloved niece Lhexine. Kathryn’s Mommy Min and Ate Kaye also joined the fun.

Maris Racal

For their Valentine’s date in 2023, Maris and boyfriend Rico Blanco chose to have a pottery date at a studio in Cubao Expo, which the Can’t Buy Me Love star shared in one of her vlogs. It might be mucky and laborious, but the couple was still able to enjoy every moment of it. In the end, each of them was able to create two functional pieces and a random ornament, which were sent to them after three months.

Nadine Lustre

Aside from music, acting, and her Instagram feed, Nadine has also found another way to express her creativity, which is through pottery. In a TikTok video shared by the studio where she had her pottery sesh, the actress-singer can be seen completely focused on her masterpiece and enjoying it so much.

Heaven Peralejo

In August 2022, Heaven tagged along her dear friend and fellow Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 alumna Vivoree Esclito for their first-ever take on pottery. When asked how did she find this experience, Vivoree described it as “so much fun” and “very therapeutic,” which makes it a great form of art therapy. For Heaven, on the other hand, it’s also a good way to know more about oneself and explore other things outside of your zone. Thus, both of them highly recommended it!

Alexa Ilacad

Another Kapamilya actress to have tried pottery is Alexa, and she did it last year with none other than her loveteam partner KD Estrada. Prior to sharing a glimpse of their experience through an IG reel, the Pira-Pirasong Paraiso stars went on TikTok live to share the process of painting the mugs, bowls, and a vase that they were able to create.

“Days like this make me the happiest. Ate good food, found a new hobby, made some art and created new memories,” Alexa captioned her Instagram post.

Dimples Romana

Along with her beloved friends Bea Alonzo, Bea Saw, and Janus del Prado, or the so-called “Thursday Barkada” from the classic 2007 film “One More Chance,” Dimples really had a good time on her first try on pottery in 2021. The super chaotic yet enjoyable experience was filmed for YouTube, in which their finished bowls were also shared at the end of the video.

Ria Atayde

It was also in 2021 when Ria tried pottery for the first time. She was accompanied by her younger brother Xavi and her besties Bianca Yanga and Kathryn Bernardo. The Nag-aapoy na Damdamin actress shared the experience on IG and captioned it, “I had fun and felt like I did something productive,” quoting her younger brother.

Jed Madela

In pursuit of shaking off his birthday blues, Jed chose to spend his last day as a 45-year-old in July 2023 by taking on pottery. He proudly shared his creations, which were bowls and cups, on IG and wrote in the caption, “Just had to get out and destress. Happy to have discovered a new hobby in pottery! Not bad for a first-timer!
