Just like what happened to our favorite celebrities listed in this Kapamilya Snaps feature, who didn’t only have remarkable “glow up” in terms of their physical appearance in the past decade, but of their respective careers as well. Read on to find out who they are!

Janella Salvador

As she began her showbiz journey at 14 years old, we can say that she has indeed grown a lot in front and behind the camera. It can be recalled that she had her on-screen debut through her appearance in the highly successful daytime drama Be Careful With My Heart in 2012.

From being one of the talented teen stars we adored, Janella is now a proud single mom to Baby Jude and is being applauded for her compelling portrayal of villains Regina and Valentina in the television remake of Mars Ravelo’s Darna.

Belle Mariano

Just like some of the local celebrities we look up to at present, Belle started off as a child star, Her stint in the now-defunct kiddie gag show Goin’ Bulilit has indeed honed her skills in acting, which she’s able to further improve and exhibit in the next teleseryes she starred in.

And now, she’s becoming a household name after her successful performance in He’s Into Her, which brought her the Outstanding Asian Star trophy from the recently-concluded Seoul International Drama Awards – a first in the Philippines.

Mutya Orquia

Another celebrity that began as a child actress is Mutya, who quickly exhibited her prowess in acting through the shows she appeared in. Aside from playing the young versions of leading ladies in teleseryes, she had her first-ever starring role in Pablo S. Gomez’s Mutya in 2011, which was succeeded by her remarkable stint in Be Careful With My Heart the following year.

Now, she’s already 16 years old and all grown-up. She was last seen on TV in Pamilya Ko (2019) but she’s still able to give us updates about her life through her posts on Instagram.

Alexa Ilacad

As we all know, Alexa is another former child actress who won over our hearts with her cuteness in Goin’ Bulilit and other shows she starred in.

At present, Alexa doesn’t only get us mesmerized by her beauty and impress us with her acting and musical chops, but she also serves as an inspiration to a lot of young women out there to be more confident with their bodies and to love themselves.

Pia Wurtzbach

Those who were already watching ABS-CBN in the early 2000s would recognize Pia as one of the up-and-coming teen stars then. Her career may not have completely taken off during that time unlike her contemporaries, but she used that as a motivation for her to keep on fighting and pursuing her dreams by doing it in a different way – through joining pageants.

And in 2015, she ended our country’s 42-year Miss Universe drought when she was crowned as its grand winner. She has become one of the most influential women around the globe not only during, but even after her reign. She also returned to acting by starring in the 2018 Star Cinema flick “My Perfect You” and in the Kapamilya sitcom My Papa Pi (2022).

Vice Ganda

From being a stand-up comedian and a supporting cast in an array of TV programs and movies, Vice became more well-known through his stint in It’s Showtime, initially as a resident hurado and eventually as one of our favorite mainstays. It was also around a decade ago when he was given his first-ever talk show Gandang Gabi Vice, and at the same started headlining films, which includes top-grosser “Praybeyt Benjamin” (2011).

Today, the he’s been known as the Unkabogable Star and is one of the most successful hosts, comedians, and fashion icons in the local entertainment scene. He also bagged the Asian Academy Creative Award for Best Entertainment Host in 2021. Don’t forget to catch him on Everybody Sing every weekend!

Joshua Garcia

From being the “Tatay’s Boy ng Batangas” of Pinoy Big Brother All In in 2014, we can say that Joshua has indeed already gone a long way. Through the years, he’s able to exhibit his impressive acting chops, as well as his musical and dancing skills.

Now, he is regarded as one of the most admired, talented, and bankable Kapamilya men, who currently makes us kilig as the young, courageous, and incorruptible cop Brian Robles in Mars Ravelo’s Darna.

Sam Milby

Those who have been following his showbiz journey would know that he’s one of the pioneer housemates of PBB. Sam may have initially struggled to speak Tagalog, but that didn’t hinder him from winning our hearts with his charms and kickstarting his acting and musical career.

And in the recent years, we’ve noticed not only the remarkable improvements with his Tagalog, but with his acting performances, too! Thus, he has become one of the most sought-after leading man in the country and can be seen at present in the well-loved primetime series A Family Affair.

Albie Casiño

Loyal fans of Albie could still surely remember his appearances in Your Song Presents: Gimik 2010 and in the 2010 remake of Mara Clara as the on-screen partner of Kathryn Bernardo. Various controversies may have taken a toll on his career in the past years, but he’s able to successfully bounce back.

Since then, he has established himself as a hunk and has filled his Instagram account with shirtless snaps of him boasting his toned abs. His appearances in On The Wings Of Love in 2015, Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Los Bastardos in 2018, Init Sa Magdamag in 2021, and How To Move In 30 Days in 2022 were truly remarkable.

Zaijian Jaranilla

Many of us surely remembers him as the wide-eyed, wonder boy Santino in the classic 2009 series May Bukas Pa. It may have been difficult for Zaijian to get away from the iconic role, but he’s able to gradually do it by playing different characters in the teleseryes he starred in.

At present, the Mars Ravelo’s Darna star continues to build his image as a more mature actor through dramatic and challenging roles, such as in The Broken Marriage Vow.
