Kapamilya Chat: Gino Roque takes us to his living room for a tour and kitchen for a French Toast demo

Young CEO and Kapamilya actor Gino Roque rose to fame when he joined Pinoy Big Brother Otso in 2019. His popularity opened the doors of the entertainment industry and he seems to juggle his business and showbiz well.

In this episode of Kapamilya Chat Level Up, Gino mentioned that his family is very private. But for the sake of granting fans’ demand, he welcomed us all in their huge modern house that gives off a rustic resort-like ambience.

Gino brought us first to the cozy couch area overlooking the pool area. The living room is his go-to place for relaxation. “Especially ‘pag kailangan ko to take a break kasi the view is very nice and very presko lang siya,” he said.

The whole living room is spacious and homey, with comfy chairs and couches arranged all around. Guests are welcomed in a wide area so zen and immaculate. Wood elements blend in with the exquisite paintings, sculptures, and a big aquarium. Although the tour was limited to the living room only, it was easy to know that the Roque abode is a massive nest full of elegance and style. Gino also hinted at owning a mini basketball court inside.

The episode’s guest hosts Tan Roncal and Aljon Mendoza gushed over his huge house and said they want to go there someday. They also noted how he remains simple and humble despite his impressive background.

French Toast Recipe

While he mainly works as the CEO of a popular athletic clothing line, Gino is trying his hands at producing and acting as well via the rom-com “Beauty and the Boss.” He portrays café owner Rafa whose life suddenly turns from dull to exciting when he meets his shop’s new waitress, Stella played by Elisse Joson.

In this episode of Kapamilya Chat, he also flaunts another skill – making French Toast! Gino says he takes over the kitchen once in a while especially when making burgers – his specialty – for guests. But for this episode, he demonstrates his quick and easy French toast recipe.

2 Eggs
1 Cup Milk
Sliced Bread

  1. For the batter, whisk two eggs in a wide bowl, then, pour in a cup of milk.
  2. Add the salt, sugar, and cinnamon. Mix altogether.
  3. Soak the slices of bread, one at a time, in the batter for 2-3 minutes. Make sure to coat both sides of the bread.
  4. Melt the butter in a pan
  5. Fry the bread to crisp up the outside. Wait until its golden brown before flipping on the other side.
  6. Serve with love, drizzled with syrup! You may also add your favorite toppings!

Gino is also asked to name that one person he would like to cook for. Check out the video for his answer!
