Celebrities ultimate guilty pleasures

You know you shouldn’t, but you just can’t help it! These are called guilty pleasures – things you can’t get enough of, even if you think they’re just plain wrong and embarrassing.

Of course, Kapamilya stars have guilty pleasures, too, which they disclosed in this video.

A lot can sure relate to Hannah Vito Lopez, whose guilty pleasure is staying up late until midnight, “I like having time with myself in the quietness of the night.” And while it feels satisfying, others even claim that it makes them feel more creative, staying up late can hurt your health.

And so does eating junk food, which Aya Fernandez is guilty of. “Masama sa health but ang sarap,” she confessed.

Based on these celebs’ answers, there are two reasons why food can spark a feeling of guilt. First, when you’re on a strict diet, hence the term ‘cheating.’  Anji Salvacion said desserts are off-limits in her diet, but how can she resist? Jana Agoncillo struggles in fighting her ice cream cravings, too.

Eating your favorite food can also make you feel bad when you break your budget for it, according to Mutya Orquia and Nag-aapoy na Damdamin actress Jane Oineza. Japanese food-lover Ashton Salvador would agree. But, come on, live your definition of YOLO. If you like pizza as much as Ria Atayde does, find comfort in hot pot meals like Arjo Atayde, or if you can eat spaghetti everyday like Christian Bables, it’s okay to make your tummy and your heart happy.

As Ashton puts it, “’Pag malaki na yung gastos mo sa pagkain tapos paulit-ulit, medyo nakaka-guilty pero satisfying kasi nabubusog naman. So, worth it naman.” Right? That’s why Andrea Brillantes would rather call salted egg chicken and ice cream her comfort food pleasure, instead of guilty pleasure.

Ejay Falcon and JC Alcantara consider shopping as their guilty pleasure. In his defense, Ejay said he only buys what he deserves.

Meanwhile, Alyanna Angeles plays the rebel by watching a 'cringey' TV show that everyone else hates, so she can criticize it more.

What’s your guilty pleasure, Kapamilya?
