On the first night of “Truth or Dare,” an interactive benefit show for ABS-CBN’s “Isang Daan sa Pagtutulungan,” Joshua Garcia entertained fans by taking on various challenges, as well as answering intriguing and kilig questions while raising funds for Kapamilyas affected by Typhoon Odette. Here are the highlight “reveals” and dares from the episode!

Netizens donated diamonds via live streaming app, Kumu. By every target amount, Joshua would take on truth or dare questions courtesy of the netizens and hosts Alora Sasam and Darla Sauler.

Answering the first question, Joshua said he notices a woman’s ‘booty’ at first glance. And the Kapamilya actress with the most perfect buns, for him, is Janella Salvador.

He’s also asked one Kapamilya actress he’d like to be textmates with. He mentioned Ivana Alawi, although they already exchange messages and phone calls, more often last month as they planned on producing vlog content. The ‘collab’, however, had to take a back seat.

Playing “jojowain o totropahin,” Joshua answered “jojowain” for Ivana. Because, really, how can you say ‘no’ to a woman who already has it all? He explained, “Magiging choosy ka pa ba dun? Pero hindi kasi lahat ng tao masasabi mong pwede mong makarelasyon. Kasi may mga taong nakatadhana na ma-meet mo para lang maging kaibigan mo.”

As the game continued, Joshua answered “totropahin” for most of the actresses mentioned by netizens mainly because he believes friendship is the best foundation of a romantic relationship. He answered “totropahin muna bago jojowain” for Darna: The TV Series co-stars Janella and Jane De Leon, Alexa Ilacad, and Jane Oineza. On his Viral Scandal co-star Charlie Dizon, he said, “Mas solid kami ‘pag tropa.” On Loisa Andalio: “Tropa na lang. Naging jowa ko na, eh. Okay kami. Parang wala akong ex na hindi kami okay.”

At some point, Joshua got candid about matters of the heart. He admitted he misses being in a relationship but that doesn’t mean he’s in a hurry, “Nakaka-miss ‘yung may nilalambing. Miss ko na ‘yung ganun na feeling. Miss ko na ‘yung may inaalagaan ako. Siguro hindi pa ngayon. But I can wait.”

He further opened up about experiencing trust issues, which he eventually managed to overcome. “Dumating din ako sa time na parang, siyempre, may trust issues ka. Matatakot kang magmahal muli ‘di ba, which is fine. Kasama siya sa proseso, eh. Pero hindi ko naman sinasarado. Gusto ko pa rin subukan.”

He mused, “Kailangan mo munang pagdaanan ‘yung iba’t ibang relationships. Hindi lahat ng tao swerte na nahahanap agad ‘yung soulmate nila. May mga tao na parang kailangan mo munang dumaan sa napakaraming experiences bago mo mahanap ‘yung gusto mo.”

Joshua thinks he’s at his best when in love, “Kasi parang feeling ko, ‘yung girlfriend ko ang nagbo-boost sa akin.” He added, “But now, kahit walang akong girlfriend, I’m happy na nagiging best version pa rin ako ng sarili ko.”

He knows relationships require commitment. Since he doesn’t have the time to commit due to his workload, he’d rather stay single for now.

Joshua revealed who’s making him happy. Here are the clues; “Katabi ko siya matulog. ‘Pag nakikita ko siya, ang saya ko.” He’s referring to his pet dog, Marley.

The Kapamilya actor also didn’t back down from the consequences, mostly phone calls and ‘kilig’ things like what he usually gives us on TikTok.

He sang while playing the guitar, saying he learned to strum during his first year in high school and loved barkada jamming back then. When Joshua said his guitar usually rests beside the bed, Alora reacted, “Buti pa ‘yung gitara katabi ni Joshua! Ang swerte ng gitara!” Haha!

He stared at the screen for thirty seconds – a gift to those who love to screen-record his videos, made a ‘kilig’ wake-up call, and spoke in a Batangueño accent. Single people could relate to Joshua’s inbox reveal that only had business-related text messages. The last message he received was from his handler and the second to the last was from a bank.

Netizens requested Joshua to call some friends just to say ‘hi.’ The first person he called was Janella but to no avail. Later on, the two would talk via FaceTime.

Ivana also answered Joshua’s call and replied “secret” when asked if the actor is “jowa” or “tropa” material. Dimples Romana and Daniel Padilla (who was at Kathryn Bernardo’s house) picked up their phones as well. Joshua thinks that Vice Ganda refused to talk to him because of a playful “tampuhan.”

Charlie, driving, asked why Joshua called. He quipped, “Miss na kita, eh!” Her reaction was an emotionless “Ah talaga ba?” Lol.

As they reached the target total amount of 2.5 million diamonds, Alora and Darla dared Joshua to reveal his sexiest photo on his phone. He gamely showed snaps of him goofing around with shaving foam in the bathroom and doing sit-ups in his bedroom.

“Truth or Dare” fundraising show runs from January 19- January 28, 8PM, on FYE Channel on Kumu, SKY Cable, iWantTFC, as well as ABS-CBN Entertainment accounts on YouTube and Facebook.

With approximately 1.4 million families affected by Super Typhoon Odette, ABS-CBN launched on January 9 the second phase of its fund drive called “Isang Daan sa Pagtutulungan,” wherein it will have consecutive fundraising activities in 100 days for the benefit of Odette survivors.
