"It's Showtime" kicked off telethon for calamity victims

"It's Showtime" opened it's Saturday live show today with a prayer for the victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda. "We bow our heads humbly to you Lord Jesus Christ as we offer up our country Lord. Marami pong nagsusuffer ngayon at maraming naapektuhan. We ask Lord God that you bless our country with healing. We ask that you give us the strength to rise up from this tragedy. At ngayon, we ask that you reach out to those who are more blessed that you give them the spirit of giving as we reach out to them. Use us as an instrument to be able to reach out to those na makatulong po sa ating mga kababayan, lalo na sa mga naapektuhan sa Yolanda, sa Zamboanga, sa lahat po ng calamities sa trahedya na nangyari sa ating bansa. Humihingi kami ng tulong na bigyan niyo kami ng spirit of giving, spirit of faith that this too shall pass. Again, we just ask you to bless our country. Give us to strength na babangon po kami na taas noo ulit, nakangiti at papatunayin ulit namin na we can get through anything with the help of you Lord Jesus Christ. Amen," prayed host Anne Curtis.

Through out the show, Vice Ganda appealed to televiewers to donate in cash or kind and call ABS-CBN hotlines to help our disaster stricken kababayans.

For all those who want to help may contact the ABS-CBN hotlines, 411-0015; 411-0182; 411-0183; and 411-0184.
