It’s Showtime and 51Talk share the good news about the new earning opportunities for Filipino ESL teachers

As Filipinos continue to look for new opportunities to recover from the unemployment crisis spawned by the pandemic, It’s Showtime responds to the challenging job-hunting efforts via “1-Ted” segment. We begin the month of October, with the celebration of National Teachers’ Day, by giving the spotlight to highly qualified Filipino teachers who could be part of 51Talk, an award-winning English education platform.

In the special “1Ted: 51Talk” segment, two ‘applicandidates’ vie for the title of “Online English Teacher of the Day.” They are Lyndon and Pearl Anne, ESL teachers who found the perfect career path through 51Talk home-based online teaching.

The ‘applicandidates’ compete in a two-part teaching demo. The “Galaw-1” round intends to test their vocabulary skills and strategies while the “Pa-Talk na Hirit” gives them 30 seconds to share how 51Talk changed their lives.

Jen Que, Country Head of 51Talk Philippines, details the mission and advantages of joining the growing family.

Apart from the 51 ‘madlang boss-es’ including 10 senior teachers, 51Talk Ambassadress and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach also brings good vibes as the main judge to choose “The 1.”
Pia has always had the heart for empowering her kababayans. Especially in these trying times when thousands are suffering from unemployment, the beauty queen empathizes with her struggling fellow Filipinos. Thus, she spreads the news about the rewarding and practical home-based earning opportunities offered by 51Talk.

On top of being a globally recognized and innovative online institution, 51Talk is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The company now has 20,000 Filipino ESL teachers training millions of foreign students via interactive learning. In the Philippines, a 51Talk partner-teacher can earn Php108.00 per hour and advance to Php150.00 per hour for one-on-one class and Php200 per hour for group class.

The good news is 51Talk has opened its doors anew for 30,000 globally-competitive Filipinos looking for new opportunities to teach, learn, and most importantly, earn in the comfort of their own home!
