At a time when everyone’s itching to travel, former Pinoy Big Brother housemates Fumiya Sankai, Andre Brouillette and Gabby Sarmiento satisfy our wanderlust by touring us around their home countries – Japan, USA, and Italy – as hosts of ABS-CBN Entertainment’s newest online show “Hello World.”
Fumiya, Andre, and Gabby have been to a lot of places, so Kapamilya Chat put their travel know-how to the test by playing the “Where Am I” Challenge where they’d guess the name of popular tourist spots and which country they’re located.
Fumiya got the first point for Colosseum, the largest amphitheatre, which is located in Rome. It is said to be an arena for gladiator battles during the Roman Empire.
Gabby guessed the next photo, the Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, the largest and most famous pyramid structure in the world. According to historians, the construction took 10 to 20 years, and it is believed to be the tomb of Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu.
Andre scored his first point with the Great Wall of China, originally built to defend Chinese states from nomadic tribes and has now become China’s most prominent tourist attraction.
Gabby answered the next two items – England’s Stonehenge, which is believed to be a prehistoric burial ground, and Greece’s The Acropolis, which houses the Parthenon believed to be the temple of goddess Athena.
For the final question, Andre recognized the photo of Taj Mahal in India. People call this UNESCO World Heritage Site a symbol of eternal love as it was built by an emperor’s order to honor the memory of his wife.
