With time comes evolution, and as the world of entertainment evolves, ABS-CBN is moving to discover the freshest talents and illuminate Gen Z stars who are destined to shape the future of the industry.

In the youth-oriented show “Zoomers,” young and talented artists took on their biggest roles yet, following a rigorous audition process. Luis Vera Perez, Kei Kurosawa, and Erika Davis are only three of the new-gen stars who’ve been given what we can consider their biggest breakthrough moments. Get up close and personal with these these promising artists as they share three things you don’t know about them.

We begin with Luis, whose passion and talent run in the blood, the son of Jose Vera Perez and half-brother of Lander Vera Perez. Despite having relatives in showbiz, Luis is moving to carve his own path. After clinching a minor role in Paulo Avelino and Janine Gutierrez’s “Marry Me Marry You” in 2022, he’s proving his versatility by playing a major and edgier role this time, as Dino, the mysterious and weirdo guy of the class who hides a traumatic past in “Zoomers.”

A stark contrast to his enigmatic role in the series, Luis is quite the funny guy in real life. He’s not even scared to make fun of himself. “Minsan tinatamad ako mag-toothbrush ‘pag wala akong pupuntahan,” he playfully revealed in the video. “’Pag nasa loob ako ng bahay tapos wala akong gagawin, hindi ako lumalabas ng kwarto.”

Kidding aside, he shared about his usual gastronomic adventures at home, “Malapit ko na ma-master lahat ng dish ng itlog, omurice na lang hindi.”

Her natural sass made Erika a perfect choice for the role of sultry campus crush Mika. Just like her on-screen persona, Erika loves cuddles and “lambing,” calling herself “a very clingy person.” But she doesn’t trust people too easily.

She joined showbiz three years ago and has taken several Star Magic trainings. Apart from her acting chops, she also has singing skills to boast. “Ang hilig ko kumanta,” smiled the mestiza beauty.

Before she graced primetime TV, Kei landed on our FYP first. She had her first taste of fame on TikTok, where she used to just showcase her dance skills, and through which she was scouted by Star Magic.

Half-Japanese Kei is bold and confident, except when she sees a rat, her biggest phobia, “Huwag na huwag n’yong ilalapit sa akin.”

She turned ‘pabebe’ when she mentioned her ultimate crush, K-Pop star Mark Lee. She also revealed that fried eggplant is her favorite food.

Are you already a fan the “Zoomers” barkada? Based on their performances in the series’ episodes, we can all agree that these young stars are going places. Also in the cast of “Zoomers” Harvey Bautista, Criza Taa, Ralph de Leon, Luke Alford, and Krystl Ball.
