One dream of two groups has been fulfilled after three years.
On November 6, rising P-Pop sensations BINI and BGYO held “One Dream: The BINI & BGYO Concert,” a majestic and inspiring digital concert. It followed the release of their chart-topping debut albums entitled “Born To Win” and “The Light” respectively.
What started out as a dream during their Star Hunt Academy days in 2018 has become a reality. After regularly training and honing their skills, people started to recognize their potential as huge stars in the making. So as soon as these P-Pop performers formally launched their groups and released their first singles this year, their rise to the top of the music industry has been unstoppable.
On the first night of “One Dream: The BINI & BGYO Concert,” the stellar BINI girls opened the stage in glittering pink outfits belting their debut single “Born To Win.” It was a perfect anthem to open the concert because from young dreamers, these performers have become confident and fearless in achieving their goals.
The girls then bridged their original song “Unbound” as if signaling to the world that nothing can stop them from flying high. Their opening number was also an amazing sight to see because of their flawless dance moves following each beat.
Even if they feel nervous despite the excitement of everything ahead, BINI exclaimed that they are ready to take the next step in their career because nothing is impossible as long as you hold on to people that love and support you. For them, their biggest supporters are their family, friends, and their beloved fandom, BLOOMs.
After such a touching message, BINI segued to a stunning rendition of KZ Tandingan’s “Imposible” and an inspirational live performance of their original song “Kapit Lang.” They followed this up with a lively treat of Maymay Entrata’s “Magdamag.”
Aside from this concert being historical since it’s the first P-Pop sibling concert ever, it’s also special because BINI finally gets to do a major collab with Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ. Even since they began in the industry, they would always say in interviews that it’s their dream to have a performance with her.
But before that happened, KZ set the stage with a cool and popping solo performance of her song “Nag-Iisa Na Naman.” Right after, she was more than happy to continue singing a medley of her songs with the melodious voices of BINI.
Giving their all, BINI exemplified their smooth as honey voices with KZ’s show stopping vocals singing “Labo” and “Marupok.” Before giving the stage back to the P-Pop girl group, KZ expressed her pleasure in being part of the concert and gave heartfelt advice to the young stars.
Filled with moving emotions and appreciation, BINI offered a heartwarming performance of their song “8.” Each one of them couldn’t help but feel a bit emotional while singing because the music’s lyrics held so much meaning to their journey as a group.
The warm smiles that BINI and audiences had on their faces quickly turned into joyful laughs and cheers. Their next performance, “Ngiti” by Gary Valenciano, picked up the mood to a sky high and the girls’ energy surely wouldn’t have disappointed Mr. Pure Energy himself.
Not letting the electrifying mood on stage waver, BGYO made a strong entrance and took the spotlight. With their handsome voices and skilled dancing, the boys delivered a rocking performance of their debut single, “The Light.”
Further showing off their notable synchronized dancing, BGYO continued their opening performance singing and dancing to Gary V’s “Hataw Na” and Loisa Andalio’s “Sasamahan Kita.”
Like BINI, this moment is a huge milestone for BGYO. They are eternally grateful for their loved ones and their fandom ACEs because they are now able to have opportunities that seemed impossible to reach before, such as being able to groove with New Gen Dance Princess AC Bonifacio.
On cue, AC didn’t waste time setting the stage on fire with her electric moves. Like always, her dance solo grabbed everyone’s attention and all eyes were on her. BGYO joined her performance and matched her steps in a jaw-dropping dance-off.
Being a rising star herself, AC was delighted to have shared the stage with BGYO. As an additional treat for the night, AC gave a live performance of “Fool No Mo,” her first-ever single as a new recording artist of Star Magic Records.
Now with dashing coats on, BGYO serenaded the crowd with their charming version of Moophs and Sam Concepcion’s “Phone Down.” They continued the fleeting mood performing their song “Fly Away,” which felt like a storytelling of all the challenges they went through to be where they are now.
Taking the feels of the night to another level, BGYO dedicated their next song to all their supporters who have brought color to their life. The boys performed their original song “Kulay” with their crystal clear vocals that could make anyone fall in love with them.
The night wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t see the P-Pop sibling groups perform together right? They offered back-to-back-to-back collabs that would make ACEs and BLOOMs squeal with joy.
For the first performance, the lead singers of each group banded together and sang “Till The End Of Time.” BINI girls Colet, Maloi, Gwen, and Jhoanna and BGYO boys Akira and JL all beautifully delivered the deeply emotional song.
Following this, the top rappers Stacey and Aiah of BINI and Mikki of BGYO wowed everyone with their mad rapping skills as individuals and as a trio. Not long after, the dancers of each group 一 Sheena and Mikha from BINI, and Nate and Gelo from BGYO 一 stole the stage with their astounding dance moves.
To close the festive evening, the groups offered marvelous performances as homage to their inspiration and humble beginnings. The P-Pop groups first performed remarkable dance covers to the music of popular K-Pop groups, given that K-Pop is the industry that heavily influenced the development and evolution of P-Pop. BINI danced Twice’s “Yes or Yes” while BGYO grooved BTS’ “ON.”
Finally, the P-Pop sibling groups ended with a fun duet of “Da Coconut Nut,” which was BINI’s pre-debut single that many fans still adore.
Without a doubt, these two P-Pop sensations achieved their “one dream”, but it is just the beginning of a long journey ahead.
