Angel Locsin and Ejay Falcon, the stars of Maalaala Mo Kaya’s special two-part tribute for the SAF 44, showed their gratitude and personally saluted the members of the Philippine National Police by joining them in their regular flag raising ceremony this morning (Apr 27) at Camp Crame.

The two were warmly welcomed by the police force and gave a courtesy call to PNP acting Chief Deputy Director General Leonardo Espina. Angel and Ejay, together with the staff of MMK, personally thanked Gen. Espina for helping the team in mounting the special episodes that honor two of their brave men, Garry Erana and Rennie Tyrus.

Not many people know that the men in uniform seen in the MMK episodes are actual members of PNP-SAF. They also worked closely with the MMK production team to ensure that the scenes, costumes, and movement are very close to reality to further give justice to this tribute.

Gen Espina, meanwhile, thanked Angel, Ejay and the staff for doing the special tribute. He even asked for a copy of the episodes so that he can personally watch it. They are also thinking of having a special screening inside Camp Crame so that other policemen will get to see it.
