Joshua Garcia best personifies Frodo in dream Lord of the Rings cast say netizens 1

His diminutiveness might fool anyone, but this hobbit’s courage and bravery was truly unprecedented and inspiring.

Frodo Baggins was in fact the Lord of the Rings’ biggest hero amid the gallant warriors and supernatural beings as he succeeded in having the One Ring incinerated in the fires of Mount Doom, leading to Sauron’s demise and peace in Middle Earth.

We all admired Frodo in his painstaking journey from being an ordinary lad in the Shire to destroying the One Ring to rule them all. And likewise, we are smitten with his endearing looks—big bright blue eyes, fair skin, and thick, curly brown hair.

No actor other than Elijah Wood could have slayed the role as his impeccable performance truly carried the tale to much acclaim.

But for viewers of the Tagalized version of the Lord of the Rings on ABS-CBN last Holy Week, they could not help but think of a local actor who could at least come close to fit this legendary role in a fantasy take of this masterpiece.

This made us post a fun poll on the ABS-CBN’S Official Facebook page, asking netizens who among Joshua Garcia, Nash Aguas, Jerome Ponce, and McCoy de Leon could aptly personify Frodo’s salient qualities and possibly portray him in an imaginary version of the tale.

Respondents were initially favoring two of the four impressive dramatic revelations on The Good Son—Joshua and Nash. But as the survey lingered, it appeared more commenters fantasized Joshua as the perky, gutsy hobbit.

Tagged as the next John Lloyd Cruz, Joshua continues to create his own mark in the entertainment industry with his astounding dramatic stints in teleseryes and TV dramas.

Former childstar Nash was a close second, with his believers imposing his wide acting experience, mind-blowing acting prowess, and being of the same age with the most popular hobbit.

Meanwhile, some of the netizens deemed that their brothers in the aforementioned late-night teleserye – McCoy and Jerome – could be good players of the prominent LOTR character since both of them possess the youthful charm and thespic talent the role requires.
