Representatives from SKY Cable Corporation, Citizens Support you Navy Foundation, and JCI Philippines turn over donations at the Philippine Navy Headquarters.
“Our marines are deployed for months at a time in these far-off islands, and rely on solar power and generators,” he said. “They are cut-off from their families and have to battle the elements like strong winds, rains, and harsh sun. They have basic supplies, but donations like these help uplift their morale while on assignment to remote islands.”
SKYdirect Prepaid kits, which give viewers high definition access to its roster of channels, aim to help uplift the morale of members of the navy by giving them access to the roster of news, sports, and entertainment channels available via SKYdirect.
“Our friends at the foundation brought this to our attention, and we are honored to do be able to do our part in supporting the Philippine Navy. With the help of SKYdirect, our marines will be connected to quality information and entertainment as they face the elements,” said Antonio Ventosa, SKY Cable Corporation President and Chief Operating Officer.
The donation supports the thrust of the Citizens Support Your Navy Foundation, a private, non-stock foundation which undertakes programs and projects for the upliftment of the material, physical, social, economic, morale and welfare of the Philippine Navy.
