The Voice Teens finalists Mica Becerro and Jona Soquite talk about how they spend their free time, aspirations, and surprising qualities in this fun chat with Inigo Pascual! #SunLifePangarapDiaries
We’re down to the Final Four! But before the much-awaited grand finale, The Voice Teens’ finalists found the time to sit down and have a fun chat with Sun Life Financial Ambassador Inigo Pascual. Read the excerpts from their interviews with Inigo below to get to know more about the people behind the voices. In this installment, Familea’s Mica Becerro and Team Sarah’s Jona Soquite talk about what they do during their free time, their surprising qualities, and more!
Iñigo: Pagiging isang singer ba talaga ang pinangarap nyo dati pa? Mica: I’ve always wanted to be a singer.
Pero aside from singing, mahilig din akong sumayaw. Ang target ko kasi in the future ay maging isang total performer—sana magkatotoo ito!
Iñigo: When you’re not singing or practicing for the competition, what do you do on your free time?
Mica: When I have free time, I love to paint. And dance!
Iñigo: What’s one thing about you that would surprise others?
Mica: Noong Blinds and even noong Battles na, ang impression ng mga tao sa akin ay mahinhin, ‘di nagsasalita.
Hopefully, I get to showcase my dancing more in my future performances. (I like dancing, just like what I said earlier. Hopefully, I get to showcase my dancing more in my future performances.
Iñigo: Who’s the most important person in your life?
Iñigo: If you have the chance to receive any gift you want right now, what would you choose?
Pati siguro pangtanggal ng pimples, to improve my confidence.
Iñigo: What are you going to do in order to achieve your dreams?
Jona: I’ll do my best, always.
Iñigo: Thank you, Mica and Jona! My advice to you? No matter what happens—win or lose—never give up on your dreams. I believe you can conquer whatever you set your mind to. You just have to keep working hard. But more than that, don’t forget to enjoy each moment.

The talented hopefuls may have different aspirations in life; but basically, they yearn for a better and brighter future. That’s why, Sun Life the first and longest-standing insurer the Philippines, will award the new The Voice Teens Grand Champion with P2 Million worth of life insurance with the chosen MyFuture Fund, helping the grand winner’s dreams turn into reality.
My Future Fund is one of the fund options available to Sun Life and Sun Life Grepa Financial’s Peso Variable Life Insurance products, which combines insurance protection and investment growth opportunities. Expertly managed by professional fund managers, it comes in different maturity dates that can coincide with one’s goals: 2025, 2030, 2035, or 2040. MyFuture Fund is a target date fund that promotes capital appreciation at the onset, maximizing earning potential in the earlier years through allocation in equities, and then transitions to wealth preservation by shifting the fund’s portfolio towards more fixed income assets. This ensures the fund’s exposure to risk is minimized as the maturity date nears so that whatever gains the fund made in the earlier years are better preserved. It’s ideal for Filipinos who are preparing for a better and brighter future for themselves and for their loved ones.
