Ever wonder how it feels like to have coffee with Piolo Pascual? Last March 21, lucky guests were able to experience just that in an intimate gathering organized by Sun Life Financial at the newly inaugurated Sun Life Amphitheater in Bonifacio Global City.
The guests were invited to attend the event to help them get started on their financial journey and to get to know the Sun Life advisor that can guide them through it over coffee. Much to their amusement, the coffee servers entered the venue wearing a mask of Piolo Pascual’s face.
Except one of them was the real deal. To everyone’s surprise, one of the servers took his mask off and it was none other than Piolo himself!
The crowd went wild. Pi Danila, who was seated at the table where Piolo served coffee, exclaimed, “Sobrang happy! Sobrang nagulat ako kasi hindi ko naman inexpect na darating siya. Ang daming Piolo na faces, tapos nandito na pala siya talaga. Grabe, nangatal ako!”
Piolo serenaded everyone with his rendition of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “Kailangan Kita,” a song from his latest album “Greatest Themes”.
The actor also encouraged everyone to start their financial journey with Sun Life as their partner, sharing that he himself strives to continuously save and invest. “There are still dreams and goals I want to pursue in and out of showbiz. I’m able to pursue all these because I’m financially secure, thanks to my Sun Life Financial advisor who happens to be my sister Chiqui,” Piolo said.
He also opened up about his financial goals. “Right now I’m focused on my son, Inigo, because as a father, of course I’d like to be able to secure his future. For myself, I’d also like to be able to produce more films. I’m proud to share that I’m on track to have Money for Life, thanks to Sun Life and my financial advisor.”
Piolo also gave a simple advice to those who are just starting out in their financial journey. “Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Get yourself an advisor and find the courage to use financial instruments like insurance and investments,” he said.

Lopa, together with Sun Life President and CEO Riza Mantaring and Chief Agency Distribution Officer Alex Narciso, also presented Piolo with the check for the total funds raised in last year’s Sun PIOLOgy Run, as well as the check for Piolo’s own Hebreo Foundation, one of the beneficiaries of the SunPIOLOgy Run.
Piolo was also presented with the Silver Anvil Award that was bestowed on the SunPIOLOgy Run in the recent Anvil Awards. The annual event was recognized for being an effective proponent of health and wellness, which is a significant element of the life insurance business.
