Over 500 tiny trolls, superheroes, princesses, witches, and ghouls trooped to the Resorts World Manila (RWM) Halloween Kids’ Fair on October 23 for an early spooky celebration.
RWM had an afternoon of wholesome family fun prepared for children and parents alike. Competitive partner games for kids and their grownups, such as a Mummy-wrap game with mommies and the physically-tasking Loaded Plank challenge with the dads made it a unique bonding experience. Special prizes were awarded to the winners, including tickets to the special advanced screening of Dreamworks’ Trolls at Newport Cinema.
Sweet treats abounded throughout the venue, and everyone was treated to a sneak preview of Trolls , which is showing on November 2. Partygoers also went around Newport Mall where 40 participating shops and restaurants showered the costumed kids with candies and cupcakes. The highlights of the afternoon were a special interactive performance with the stars of Trolls, Poppy and Branch, and a special guest performance by the kids from the musical Annie which is showing at the Newport Performing Arts Theater until December 4.
Beyond tricks, treats, and Trolls, RWM has even more Halloween thrills in store for guests of all ages.
Café Maxims has scary, scrumptious Halloween offers until November 2. Families can relive the zombie craze with the quirky and colorful Brainy Cakes (P190), a special Halloween dessert, with a vanilla sponge base and strawberry mousse and dark and white chocolate garnish, is just the thing to complete the ultimate zombie costume. For those who like their spooky treats savory, the Black Pasta is a creamy squid-ink fettuccine with Japanese uni served in a Jack-o’-lantern bowl and topped with Parmesan flakes.
Night crawlers are in for tantalizing terrors at the “Once Upon a Halloween” party on October 29 at Remington Entertainment Center. “Once Upon a Halloween” features characters from beloved fairy tales with a dangerously dark twist and set to the beats of 12 of the country's finest DJs. The P700 entrance fee is waived for guests who come in costume. The party starts at 5:00pm at the Jardin Garden Club, and heats up at 9:00pm in House Manila where special prizes await those who come in the creepiest, most creative costumes.
