Bring on the glitz, turn up the glam, own the spotlight. Julia Barretto is more than ready to stun the crowd at the much-anticipated ABS-CBN Ball! We just can’t wait for this beaut to strut down the red carpet—and we had an exclusive interview with Julia about her preparation for the ~magical~ evening!
 

 

Julia never disappoints in the style department, especially when it comes to her red carpet looks for the annual ball. It’s the grandest—and most star-studded—affair in Philippine showbiz after all. You either go big or go home. And Julia’s show-stopping OOTNs from previous years—like her favorite Michael Cinco, Rajo Laurel, and Mark Bumgarner numbers—prove that this girl takes this event seriously. 

When asked about her secret to picking the right dress, the Kapamilya actress said it’s all about choosing one that suits her taste—and collaborating well with her trusted stylist and chosen designer. “If we feel good in what we’re wearing, then it will transcend. It will show in the way that we stand, the way that we smile, (and the way) we project,” says Julia.




 

Besides, the ABS-CBN Ball is basically a “day off” for all the Kapamilya stars—where they get the chance to take a break from their jam-packed scheds, party their hearts out, and most importantly, don cinderella-esque gowns any fashionista will love!

But of all the things that make this extravagant event uber exciting and downright dream-worthy, what’s Julia’s most fave part? “The most important (thing) for me is, just being able to spend time with the people you work with—and the people you haven’t worked with (yet!) that you want to get to know more.” 

Well, we’d love to get a  V.I.P. invite to the Ball, spend time with our soon-to-be celebrity besties, and take selfies with these big stars, too. Unfortunately, we’re not on the guest list—yet. But at least, Julia assured us that all the deets of her  ball experience will be captured and posted online--thanks to OPPO!

“This year, we have a collaboration with OPPO--which I’m very very excited about. We are taking everybody behind-the-scenes of my ABS-CBN Ball preparations. They’re gonna be seeing my room. Me, getting ready (for the Ball). And then, of course, some shots of me with Joshua!” Exciting, right?
