For the Love of It: Bailey May Followed His Heart and It Led Him to Now United

Bailey May has gone global.

Gifted as he may be, Bailey doesn’t attribute his success to his singing, dancing, or even his good looks. Instead, he credits his success to something else: following his heart. Because in doing so, the Filipino-British artist has become a member of Now United, the international pop group founded by Simon Fuller (creator of American Idol and manager of Spice Girls.)

Now, the worldwide stage is his.

Humble Beginnings

Bailey began making ripples online in 2015 with his delightful renditions of popular songs by well-known artists. He slowly built a following with each upload, as netizens praised him for his talent at such a young age—Bailey was only twelve then.

It didn’t take long after that before Bailey found himself as a contestant on a popular reality show where he was able to showcase not only his talent, but also his charming personality. This led to more performances and appearances on other television programs, growing his loyal fan base in the process.

Bailey Kept Dreaming

In 2017, a big opportunity presented itself to Bailey: Now United was looking for musical talent. Bailey, despite already being a star here in the Philippines, followed his heart like he always has. Along with hundreds of other hopefuls, he auditioned for a spot in the global pop music group. After it was all said and done, he became one of the fourteen members of Now United who hail from all over the world.

Earlier this year, Pepsi, the iconic beverage brand with a rich history of supporting music talent, launched  a new marketing platform and tagline - #FORTHELOVEOFIT - that encourages today’s music generation to live their passion. Pepsi tapped the rising stars of Now United to record the campaign’s refreshed jingle that Bailey hopes will help inspire people to follow their hearts, go all in for the things they love and to never give up on their dreams. Sundin Ang Puso is a battle cry for all the dreamers out there. Because like Bailey, Pepsi and Now United believe that you can turn any dream into reality if you follow your heart.

The worldwide stage is now Bailey’s. If you don’t stop dreaming, any stage you want can be yours, too.
