3. Kokey @ Ako (2010)

Also in 2010, they also starred in “Kokey @ Ako”, the sequel of the 2007 comedy-fantasy series “Kokey”, alongside Vhong Navarro and Toni Gonzaga. It follows the story of a reporter named Jackie (Toni Gonzaga) and the extraterrestrial creature named Kokey. They work together to reunite with their families while the aliens from Planet Kukurikabu plot to exterminate mankind. Melai played Josa, the cousin of Bruce (Vhong Navarro) while Jason played Adonis, a close friend of Bruce and the love interest of Josa. Wenn V. Deramas directed the primetime series.

4. Precious Hearts Romances: Mana Po (2011)

Melai and Jason got their first lead roles in “Precious Hearts Romances: Mana Po”, the 14th installment of the Precious Hearts Romances series. It also starred Tom Rodriguez and Megan Young. Melai in the show was Brandi who comes from a rich family while Jason was Milo who comes from a very poor family. Their lives changed when Brandi’s father, Vino (John Arcilla), decided to give all of her inheritance to the family of Jack (Buboy Garovillo), his bestfriend and Milo’s father. Katski Flores and Theodore Boborol directed this romantic-comedy series.

5. Honesto (2013)

They also appeared together in the inspirational primetime series “Honesto” starring Raikko Mateo. It also starred Paulo Avelino, Janice de Belen, Joel Torre, Angel Aquino, Nonie Buencamino and Eddie Garcia. The show was about Honesto (Raikko Mateo), a young boy whose nose got bigger whenever he lied, and the people who raised him and taught him the value of honesty. Jason played SPO1 Omar Batungbakal while Melai was his wife Cleopatra in the teleserye. Jerry Lopez Sineneng and Darnel Joy Villaflor were the directors of the top-rating show.

After “Honesto”, their last show together was “Give Love In Christmas: Exchange Gift” (2015) starring Paulo Avelino and KC Concepcion. After that, they appeared in several Kapamilya shows separately; Melai was in “Your Face Sounds Familiar” (2015), “Magandang Buhay” and “We Will Survive” (2016) while Jason was part of “Forevermore” (2015), “On The Wings of Love” (2015), “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” (2016) and “My Super D” (2016).
