The Queen of Soul Jaya returns to the Kapamilya network as the newest judge on It’s Showtime’s hit segment “Tawag ng Tanghalan.” The record-breaking artist even shared her excitement over her first day as TNT judge by posting her photos with the hosts of It’s Showtime on her Instagram account. A celebrated singer herself, Jaya is no stranger to singing competitions, having won the 1996 Metropop Song Festival for her interpretation of Danny Tan's "Sometimes You Just Know" and the 1997 Best Interpreter Award at the Asia Song Festival for her performance of Danny Tan and Dodjie Simon’s "You Lift Me Up." Her unique voice dominated the airwaves in the 1990’s with soulful ballads that are now considered OPM classics.
