As Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin treats us to a deliciously entertaining finale week, Maricel Soriano, playing one of the most beloved characters in the series – Lucing – takes on a game that reveals her co-stars’ secrets!
The Diamond Star is asked to name the Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin star with the biggest appetite. She thinks this ’award’ belongs to the boys, although there are times when even the girls love to pig out, “Usually, ang matatakaw sa amin, mga lalaki. Siyempre, normal ‘yun kasi lahat ng girls trying to watch their weight and be health conscious. Pero may mga times na si Cheska [Inigo] matakaw, may times ako.”
She further reveals that Sam Milby is the most generous, “Walang kasing galante si Sam Milby. Ewan ko ba kung bakit ganu’n ‘yung batang ‘yun. Bukod sa mabait, galante pa.”
According to the award-winning actress, the effervescent Iza Calzado is also the ultimate source of laughter, “Si Iza, ‘yan ang aming walang-kapagurang babae. Chika nang chika! Tawa kami nang tawa, masakit na tiyan namin.” Comedian Brenda Mage’s effortless jokes are likewise an easy sell to the Diamond Star.
Maricel’s choice for the most calm Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin star is Desiree Del Valle. “Tahimik lang, kalmado pero ready lagi.” The cast members who heaped the most number of takes are Sam and the young stars. But Maricel stressed that re-takes are just a normal part of taping.
Before the interview ends, the veteran actress shares her message of hope to Kapamilya viewers. She underscores that hope and help come from the Lord, and despite the still on-going pandemic, we must take the courage to keep going. “Lahat naman tayo ay gusto ng magandang bukas at sana ang bukas na ‘yan ay ngayon na dumating. Pero sinusubukan tayo, tinitingnan Niya kung hanggang saan anag pagkapit natin sa hope. Huwag tayong bibitaw.”
Maricel also thanks everyone for supporting Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin, now on its last three episodes. Don’t miss the show’s “Heart-Stealing Ending” on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z. Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin was created by Dindo C. Perez and Julie Anne R. Benitez and directed by FM Reyes and Avel Sunpongco.
