As his character Avel Mansueto has finally made his entrance in Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin beginning last week, avid fans of the well-loved series and of Joseph Marco have been excited to see him grace our screens every weeknight. Although it is revealed that he’s going to be the new bodyguard of Jodi Sta. Maria’s character Marissa, many are already looking forward to see how their relationship will prosper.
And just recently, our beloved Kapamilya viewers and netizens were given the chance to catch up with him in the latest episode of Kapamilya Confessions, wherein he enthusiastically responded to their questions and read their comments.
But before that, he first took on the First and Last Challenge and gamely imparted his “firsts” and “lasts”.
His first television appearance was in the 2010 ABS-CBN teleserye Sabel, wherein he got paired with his first-ever celebrity partner Jessy Mendiola. When it comes to his first embarrassing moment, he recalled that moment he failed to do a crying scene that got him ashamed of the director. And to those who are wondering what’s the first thing he looks at a person, it’s the eyes for him.
On the other hand, Joseph’s last Instagram post was a promotional material for his movie “The Missing” alongside Miles Ocampo and perennial loveteam Ritz Azul. The last time he said ‘I love you’ was 30 minutes ago, which was also the last message he sent to the last person he was thinking – his girlfriend Darja Romanova. And the last time he cried was three weeks ago.
Moving on to the Kapamilya Confessions proper, the 32-year-old actor answered a slew of questions regarding Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin.
As everyone have been anticipating for his character Avel and Jodi’s Marissa to eventually end up together, commenters were curious if they are indeed going to be each other’s love interest since they’ve already been looking forward on seeing their sweet moments. But instead of giving the answers right away, he chose to further tease them by telling them to just continue watching.
When it comes to working with Jodi and Maricel Soriano, Joseph said that he’s always been excited to be with them. While it was already his second time with Jodi, who was his co-star in the 2017 Star Cinema flick “Dear Other Self,” it was actually his first time to work with Maricel Soriano. Although the latter was the Diamond Star, he imparted that she never made him feel intimidated.
“Hindi niya ipapa-feel sa’yo na matakot ka o na masindak ka. In fact, she would make you feel comfortable because she’s that kind of person. She’s so nice and she is just like the motherly type,” he told one netizen.
Being tapped to play the role of Avel, the hunk heartthrob disclosed how happy he was when it was bestowed to him.
“Of course, I’m so happy knowing that I’m gonna play alongside with Jodi, Ms. Maricel, Iza, Sam and the rest of the cast. I’m so thankful. It’s a golden opportunity. I prepared as much as I can. I was watching “bodyguard” movies just to see how they really move,” he related.
Apart from working on Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin, he shared that he also keeps himself busy finishing the script he’s been writing for a project he is going to produce.
