It cannot be denied that Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin indeed had a beyond impressive run in the past seven month that it’s on air. It indeed succeeded in providing us with a totally riveting and compelling narrative that never failed to bring us to the edge of our seats and make our bloods boil in every episode through the intense scenes and laudable performances of the ensemble cast.
And while the happenings on the series were pretty exhausting and scorching, that’s apparently not the case off-cam as the stars share a lot of great, happy, and memorable moments together – as seen in the behind-the-scene photos of their finale week in this gallery!
The scenes in the “Heart-stealing Finale” week may be thrilling, breath-bating, and heart-rending as the battle continues for the characters of Jodi Sta. Maria, Iza Calzado, and Simon Ibarra, but everyone on the set actually have an adorable harmonious relationship off-cam. Filming in the midst of a pandemic may have been a huge challenge for everyone, but their lock-in tapings in the past months definitely brought them closer together.
Whenever the reels are not rolling, they seemed to be so fond of goofing around, making fun of themselves, taking photos in clusters, and sharing various stories with one another.
Among the most remarkable scenes in the finale week was when Iza dressed up in a powder blue dress and a white veil that resembled the image of Virgin Mary as she sneakily rescued the fatally shot Caesar. In her latest Instagram post, the 38-year-old actress posted two photos of her in that costume and an image of her from the 2014 Star Cinema flick “Starting Over Again” and commended the creative staff in the caption: “Amazed at how our creative Team for Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin was able to incorporate this “Mahal na Birhen, sinusundo mo na ba ako?” moment in our finale referencing the “Kamukha niya si Mama Mary” scene from “Starting Over Again.” Last 2 nights of our show. Maraming salamat sa @jrbcreativeproduction sa inyong tiwala at pagmamahal. Hanggang sa muli!"
We also witnessed the reunion of Jodi with Zaijian Jaranilla, who portrayed the role of her Marissa’s late biological son Jacob. Their characters’ brief encounter in heaven may have brought tears in our eyes, but the two were smiling ear-to-ear in one of their photos together. It can be recalled that they starred together in the 2010 fantasy drama series Noah.
Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin created by Dindo C. Perez and Julie Anne R. Benitez and directed by FM Reyes and Avel Sunpongco, may be now over, but the memories that the cast shared together and imparted to their viewers will surely remain in everyone’s hearts for a long time.
