The feistiest lines from Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin as Marissa finally resurfaces after 17 years

Tables are about to turn as Marissa (Jodi Sta. Maria)’s much-awaited comeback finally happens, threatening to destroy the empire and life that Ellice (Iza Calzado) tried hard to rebuild in Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin.

Expert in playing the game of vengeance, Marissa got the ball rolling prior to her shocking return by tapping Gabriel (Sam Milby)’s Villarosa Construction to build the stores for her jewelry line, La Sierra, with an intent to steal the man time and again.

As Marissa resurfaced, her first stop was meeting Jake (Grae Fernandez) and going back to the place where she buried her son’s remains. “Sa bawat paglalakbay, may mga bagay na hindi na mababalikan kahit kailan. Pero patuloy mong dadalhin ang bigat ng pagkawala nito sa habang panahon.”

But things seemed hopeful for Gabriel and Ellice as he decided to fix their marriage after listening to his loved ones’ advice. Carmelita (Cheska Inigo) enlightened him with pearls of wisdom about love, forgiveness, loyalty, and second chances. Her words resonated in him that he realized his love for Ellice and their union has never run out all those years. “Alam ko nandiyan ka pa rin dahil mahal mo pa rin siya. Pinatawad ka na ni Ellice, Gabriel. Now, it’s your turn.”

Fate tricks played on them as Marissa witnessed the couple sharing a romantic time. Gabriel and Ellice’s reconciliation finally happens, much to Hope (Kira Balinger)’s delight. The good times won’t last long, for the past poses threats to the present. Hope’s growing closeness with Jake and Gabriel and Ellice’s reconciliation will crystallize Marissa’s plans for revenge.

“All this time, I thought nangungulila ka sa amin ni Jacob. Pero nagkamali pala ako. Mukhang pinili mo na lang na kalimutan kami para magpakasaya ka sa babaeng nagtangka sa buhay naming mag-ina. You betrayed me, Gabriel. You have failed me and our son,” Marissa thought as she secretly watched her enemies enjoy their time together.

Marissa would finally meet the face of her nemesis’ future, Hope, when Jake invited the latter for lunch at their place. Albeit fuming, Marissa controlled her emotions, so as not to ruin her well-calculated schemes.

As soon as the young Cenidoza left, she was reminded of all the pain and suffering, prompting her to cut the budding romance between the two teenagers. ”I know this is going to be too much to ask but you cannot fall in love with her,” she told Jake.

Jake is starting to feel the weight of her mother’s plea, trying his best to move further from Hope despite the desire to be close with her.

The vengeance was set into full motion. Marissa received help from Adelina (Carla Martinez), who told her former protégé, “My money is still enough to get the vengeance we both need.”

The thrilling, explosive plot twist was finally unveiled. Marissa, now tagged as “the newly crowned queen of the jewelry industry” made a shocking appearance during La Sierra’s launch. Marissa took the spotlight and fired feisty, menacing innuendos at her rival.

“The industry has long been comfortable with the status quo. Matagal nanahimik, walang kalaban. Pero pagdating ng La Sierra, marami ang nabahala, natakot, nangamba dahil baka manaig ang La Sierra at maagaw ang posisyong matagal nang pinanghahawakan,” she declared in her opening speech.

However, Marissa’s claims of domination and honor won’t last long that night as her own mother, Lucing (Maricel Soriano), makes a scene more intense than her own drama.

“Talagang inuna mo ang lahat nang ito bago mo hanapin ako, ako na Nanay mo. Siguro kahit na mamatay ako, wala kang pakialam. Sa panahon na kailangang kailangan kita, anak, nasaan ka? Si Ellice ang nasa tabi ko. Matagal nang patay ang Marissa na kilala ko,” Lucing told her resurrected daughter, delivered with jaw-breaking slaps in-between.

Ellice once again felt fragile and threatened, scared of Gabriel possibly crawling back to Marissa’s side. But Gabriel served his wife, and Nanay Lucing, with a promise to keep their family together.
